Kithala Resort

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, but the rooms and food were definitely not worth the price. The bathroom had a sewer issue and was smelling up the whole room and the phone in the room was faulty. The dining area had too many flies. Not worth a second visit.

Had wonderful stay at Kithala with my family. Really calm place near to paddy fields . Room was very tidy. Liked our room view very much. When we goes to the balcony area we can see paddy fields. Must say a word about the canal that living lot of tortoises. My kids was really enjoyed by feeding them. There are lot of peacocks 🦚 around here. You can here their sound. Definitely you can wakeup with hearing some peacocks sounds 😉 in the morning. I really love it. The pool area was really calm we enjoyed there. ( specially my kids ) There are variety of foods here. Those were delicious 😋. Hotel staff were very friendly specially the lady working in restaurant area. (Couldn't ask her name) but my kids got a photograph with her. Overall experience was excellent 👌 Thank you Kithala Resort for making us happy during our stay.

I recently stayed at Kithala Resort in Tissamaharama on a full-board package and had a delightful experience. The resort is surrounded by a beautiful paddy field and a small lake, offering a serene view that's especially visible from the swimming pool area. The pool itself is well-maintained, with a maximum depth of 5.1 feet, though it’s worth noting that there are no lifeguards on duty and no changing rooms nearby. Despite that, the pool area is exceptionally clean and the landscaping adds to the overall beauty of the space. The rooms were also clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay. The food was delicious, with the pork dish standing out as a highlight—it was simply the best! The service was friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. One thing to be aware of is the presence of mosquitoes. If you plan to spend time on the room balcony, be sure to close the glass door every time, as mosquitoes can easily enter the room. Overall, Kithala Resort offers a wonderful blend of natural beauty, comfortable accommodations, and great food

We had a wonderful one-day stay at Kithala Resort with family. The experience was fantastic! The food was absolutely amazing, with a great variety and delicious flavors. The service was good, and the rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. The pool was a great place to relax and enjoy. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially Amali, who was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The overall experience was definitely worth the price. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kithala Resort for 2 nights. The room is very nice & clean. The housekeeping can fold towels into Elephants 😱 The pool and restaurant area look over beautiful fields and includes a little river/pond. There are turtles and 1 crocodile, which the staff let us feed some bread(!). The overall food is good and the staff is very friendly. 🙏 Perfect stay for a visit to Yala. Nice to have: Some shadow for the pool side.
