Grand Hotel - Lund

Lovely hotel in the centre of Lund. Old world opulence and style. Loved it. Only down side is my room was small and some outside noise of street cleaners , glass collectors from a nearby establishment across the street. Breakfast was wonderful. All good

Fantastiskt! Med AC hade det varit toppbetyg på allt.

Jag har alltid uppskattat Grand Hotell för deras restaurang och de väldigt trevliga träffarna som det har blivit under åren. Kan nu bara konstatera att det vänliga bemötandet och viljan att ge mig som kund den bästa möjliga upplevelsen också sträckte sig till hotelldelen. Kan bara rekommendera!

Tyvärr fick vi rum 171 som låg mitt i ventilation, kändes det som! Båda sänglamporna var ur drift, vilket också sänker betyget! Hade varit ok mot en viss reduktion av priset! 2.700kr för rummet är hutlöst dyrt för läget på rum även om det är högsäsong!

This hotel is a real gem in the center of Lund. Close to all the shopping areas, restaurants, and the train station that brings you to Malmö in 15 minutes. We opted to stay longer in the Grand Hotel instead of spending a night in Malmo. The rooms are great, phenomenal breakfast buffet, and very friendly and helpful personnel.

Central location with a fantastic breakfast. While in a traditional style, I found some areas of the hotel looked tired and in need of some refreshing

Som alltid en mycket trivsam och vilsam upplevelse med några dygn på Grand Lund. Fjärde eller femte gången nu. Atmosfär, bemötande, rum, sängar, frukost. Allt alltid till Mer än belåtenhet och det är därför vi kommer tillbaka

Väldigt kvaft på rummet. Dåligt med luft. Trappan upp till nästa våning störde när folk gick i den.

The building is impressive, and the communal areas are well-decorated and “grand”, especially the main staircase. However, our room was not so grand. It is unfortunately in dire need of refurbishment. We were greeted by the musty smell of old furnishings, and the room was poorly laid out (I kept hitting my head on the sloped roof because of the position of the bed). For a double room, it’s quite odd that there was only one bedside table, and the power sockets were too far from the bed to be useful. Our room really should have been a storage cupboard. Our main problem was that the staff did not appear to know what was going on. We called the hotel to let them know we’d be arriving late, and they cheerfully gave us entirely wrong information about what we’d need to do to gain access to arrival. When we’d spent some time sorting that out, we were told at reception that the bar closed at midnight. So, we went upstairs and unpacked, then came down at 11.15pm to be told by the bar staff that they had already closed. We checked the guest information book, and the bar should indeed have been open until midnight on a Thursday. The breakfast was okay, if a bit limited in choice, and the odd layout meant that guests kept having to squeeze between other guests’ tables to get to their seat. Also, breakfast patrons were not allowed to sit in the best part of the room, overlooking the park, for some reason. A bit of an odd stat, but we did sleep well in the end, despite the lack of AC.

Skønt hotel, men forfærdeligt små værelser, oppe under taget. Ulideligt varmt om natten. Vi havde bestilt 3 vær. 6 mdr før og betalt fuld pris, men blev ikke opgraderet til bedre værelser, selv om hotellet i perioden gav 18% rabat ved bestilling fra egen hjemmeside.

Dålig standard på rummet.

Glutenfrit brød meget kritisabelt. Halvtom plastikpose, hvorfra skiveskåret let tørt mørkt brød kunne fikses op begge dage. Musli smagte gammelt. Niveauet svarer slet ikke til hotellets stjerner. Det er ikke svært at gøre det bedre - når der bages godt glutenfrit brød i Lund.

Dejligt hotel med en sublim morgenmad.
