Small hotel close to the train station and about an 8-10 minute walk to the old town. The “big room” was spacious with a nice sitting area. I saw the “medium room” and it was big enough for 2 people. You may hear trams go by but it’s not loud and frequent. The area around the hotel is great with several coffee shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Wonderful first time staying in Lucerne. The hotel was well positioned and nicely fitted out. Rooms were clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any requests we had.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately the hotel does not have any guest bar or lounge where residents can spend time or enjoy drinks etc.
The breakfast was not acceptable. Food was bought out in very small quantities and infrequently that you had to wait too long to get anything. Hot breakfast items had to be ordered and again too long time was taken to bring them out and the quantities on the plate were sparce .

Good location for travel around Switzerland as close to train station and trains leave/arrive regularly. Room was a little noisy when room above moved around early in the morning. Staff were helpful and courteous. Make sure to do Mt Pilates!

A comfortable and conveniently located hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Only downside there was no residents lounge / bar to relax in at the end of a busy day. Would definitely recommend and revisit in the future.

The Hotel and staff was amazing and our room was perfect. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing from the amazing dinner to the great breakfast we had. Also shot out to our receptionists she was amazing even got my wife a small box of chocolates for her birthday sorry neither of us can remember her name was lots of travel for us 😊. We definitely recommend anyone looking for a great place stay here its very walkable to alot of things just go and enjoy.

Given early check in. Location can easily be found and within walking distance to a few sightseeing spots. Room is bigger than expected. Walking distance to Lucerne Train station. Staff are polite. Highly recommended!

Even though we only spent one night here we had a lovely time. The staff is lovely and accommodating, the room was clean and nicely equipped and the area is great if you’re travelling by car. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Lucerne!

Clean, remodeled, excellent plumbing and lighting details, very good bathrooms, shower was fantastic. Sheets and towels were well laundered and presented. Check-in was very easy and it was clear they were ready for all 6 of us, with the suite opened up and all beds made ready with a special touch. Hotel is very walkable to train station. Would absolutely stay here again and again.

We tried two different rooms because we extended our booking.
Both rooms were spotless and quiet. Everything was modern and in good repair. If you want Old World charm, this is the wrong hotel for you, because it looks like it was remodeled yesterday by a perfectionist.
The smaller room was...small. Not a shoebox, but on the tight side. The larger room was considerably more comfortable, and it had a tub. If you're staying in Lucerne for more than a couple of days, I would recommend going for a bigger room. Either way, it won't be cheap, so you might as well enjoy yourself.
The curtains were really something. When we woke up, we couldn't tell whether it was day or night.
The staff was extremely professional. No issues at all. They could not have been better.
I didn't see any sign of a gym. If there is one, they hid it pretty well.
Walking to the river and sights is not difficult. I recommend it over buses and cabs.
Personally, I would try to find an older hotel in a more interesting neighborhood next time, but that's just me. Your stay at the Cascada will be trouble-free.

Expedia incorrectly listed city views for a Single room. Per the hotel, Single rooms have no views, I saw the back of a building. I wouldn't have selected this room if I knew there were no views.
Other than that, the hotel was very clean and updated. Room was small, bathroom nice, but shower only. Quieter, no street noise, only heard noise from the hallway.
