Beautiful property, excellent service, great food.💯

We had a fantastic stay at Grand Hotel Kronenhof! The hotel has an amazing history and great old world glamour. The rooms are spacious and the amenities and spa were top notch. By far the biggest plus at the hotel were the staff. The were all exceptional and really warm. They offered great recommendations and Daniel the concierge was a standout.

The Kronenhof was the kind of impressionable experience that will "force" me to stay in Pontresina everytime I visit the Upper Engadin. The hotel, staff, food, you name it, is top notch. Breakfast was amazing and both restaurant provided high end dining to be remembered. I did not visit the Spa, but from the outside it looks to be very well done. The view down the Roseg valley is wonderful and staying just a few miles away from the crowds at St. Moritz is also a bonus.

It was absolutely wonderful!

We visited for a cross country ski event and couldn’t be happier with our choice of hotel. The staff was very accommodating, anticipating all of our needs including special services for the skiers attending the event including shuttles and early breakfasts. Our room was updated and comfortable but was a bit too warm from the radiant heat so we had to open a window. We enjoyed the splendid spa-especially the floating pool. We would highly recommend this property.

It is the most complete hotel, has beautiful areas, great pool and sauna, kids club, ice skating rink. The concierge service is the best I have experienced.

Very good property, with excellent rooms, facilities, food/drinks and service. We appreciated being picked up from Pontresina train station at our arrival and we were positively impressed by the quality of the room and the restaurants. The gourmet restaurant features a Rouen duck which is worth trying…the bar is also top notch, with an excellent choice of cocktails and a British tea-time package, all accompanied with piano music. Also the SPA struck us as clean, comfortable and with a great view on the mountains. This is the best option while staying In Pontresina. We definitely recommend.

When I was booking this hotel I didn’t look into too much just know it’s the best at the Pontresina where we will hike. after check in ,it’s not only surprised us but amazed. this hotel should be benchmark for all FIVE star hotels. when we book the halfboard we didn’t expect fine dinning , the staff are extremely professional, the restaurant is as beautiful as wedding setup. the room is not only comfortable but beyond , there is even walk-in wardrobe! How good is that during traveling. We definitely enjoyed spa ,big windows with natural view . Special thank to concierge department Angel Blanco ( hope I am spelling it right ) for his warm welcome at the train station and guidance for hiking tip. Also the spa / swimming pool staff ( girl with short hair ) . Overall, this is not only accommodation during long trip but our unforgettable experience as well. It’s a place you definitely desire to come back.

The Kronenhof is a magical place. It’s truly a magnificent Belle Epoque Hotel in the Mountains. Restored to perfection and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed our time in Pontresina and the Kronenhof. From the elegant dining to the beautiful Spa. We will definitely come back to this place. Surprise Management / Special Occasions: We were celebrating our 30th Birthday in the hotel. Our father arranged the day before with the reception a Spa Treatment. It should have been a surprise. However, we were not informed by the staff about that gift. Our dad called us on our Birthday and asked us: « How we like the treatments that he chose for us? » Since we didn’t know anything about it, we were a bit confused and my dad became upset. Since he highlighted the importance to the Kronenhof Staff. I went during breakfast to the reception and tried to understand the situation. I received the answer: « You should contact the Spa ». Since I was in the middle of eating it was not an option. After a while the reception started to understand the situation and made the outmost to rearrange the appointments. Improvement Advice to Kronenhof: Since you have a lot of guets that celebrate anniversaries or birthdays in your hotel. I would personally suggest you to put more focus on that and when something goes wrong at least offer a glass of champagne or tea time. I honestly felt a bit stressed that morning. Rearranging my plans last minute.
