A short but uphill walk from train station they have transport but it’s 5 Swiss francs a person but a doable walk with a carry on bag Breakfast was sumptious , quiet area but no t close to any restaurants but Zermatt is a small but beautiful town so everything is in walking distance

The hotel was very clean & convenient that it had a restaurant, bar & breakfast. The rooms had a great terrace that had nice views. One of our party was able to get a fantastic photo of the "golden horn" when she happened to wake up at 6am and looked out the window and saw it. We had to make changes to our reservations prior to our visit, the staff was very accommodating and made sure we received confirmation of the change (so much that they called to make sure we saw it), For those wondering about the recent floods, we did not notice anything amiss in the town or hotel. The only issue was having to take a bus for part of the way into Zermatt, but that only provided lovely views, and of course affected the whole town and not just this hotel. No SC but it was not needed during our stay in July.

I had a reservation at this hotel but had to cancel because my wife became very ill with food poisoning. I fully understood the reservation was non-refundable, but given the situation, I asked Hotels.com to contact the hotel on my behalf to request a partial refund. To my surprise, the hotel refused to offer any flexibility or even attempt to negotiate, despite the circumstances being beyond our control. Their lack of empathy and unwillingness to work with us was extremely disappointing. Next time I’m in Zermatt, I will definitely not be staying here. Very poor customer service.

Nice clean hotel. Close to Zermatt station but it’s on a hill so it can be tricky if you have big or lots of luggage. Breakfast was good. I would stay again

Hotel was awesome! Staff was great! Room was perfect and the breakfast was outstanding! We would stay there again. Beware that the walk to the hotel is steep. Hotel is high up so this could be a challenge to some although we loved it.

Awesome hotel only about 200 yards from the town center, so it was convenient. Quiet area too. There is a hill to walk up to the hotel but it didn’t bother anyone in my family. If you’re going skiing it was very convenient to the Sunnegga funicular and the ski rental shop next to it. We loved our room which had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. The whole staff was very friendly. They even had a cool bar/living room off the lobby. And the bowl of oranges in the lobby were absolutely amazing. The breakfast was also very good with tons of options. We want to go back there.
