ibis Bern Expo

Small room, no option for breakfast, staff in the dining area unfriendly.

Booked a double room for three nights to stay with my family, (spouse + 6 year old kid). We were not allowed to stay there and were asked to book another room due to there policies. We ended up booking an extra room (total of 2 rooms) in the same hotel for the night, Had to pay ~$ 100 although we never used the second room (ended up staying in the same room as a family). Had to stay in the Novotel hotel(next to Ibis under the same management) for next two night which cost me extra ~ $ 300 for the saty than I anticipated. It is strange that I never had this issue in other hotels in Switzerland (or any other country) during my 30 days trip in Europe. Reasonably OK hotel for the money. Front desk staff not friendly or helpful at all. I would not stay there again and not recommending families with kids to stay there.

It is not centrally located, but only 15 minutes walking distance and 7 minutes by public transportation to the city center. It is very clean, the staff is very helpful and the breakfast is excellent. I would recommend it anytime.

Terrible

Expensive but nice parking. No air conditioning and it was hot. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Short stay over night. The staff was very helpful allowing us to store our bags even after we checked out so we could explore the city a little before heading to our next destination. The bed was very comfortable compared to most places we’ve stayed at.

It was a great stay, no issues, staff were friendly with good transport links to the station and good location for Expo. Highly recommended

To expensive for this particular hotel service, poor breakfast, small room, expensive parking for whoever needs it, and the staff weren’t the most friendly I have seen for sure. In the other hand very clean !!!

Air con didn’t work, small rooms, bed is cheap, tiny pillows. Won’t stay again.

Great hotel! A tram runs from the train station and stops in front of the hotel. The Bern Rose Garden, with great views of the city, is a short walk from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to spend some time in Bern.

Very helpful staff who spoke good English. Good location, less than 15 minutes on the number 9 bus from the train station which runs very frequently. Room was clean and comfortable, only slight gripe was the bed sagged slightly in the middle. Air con worked well. Breakfast was good and included fresh fruit salad and waffles!

Excellent hotel. Just 15 min away from center by tram. Guisanplatz Expo stop is just infront of the hotel. Quite and Calm surroundings. Breakfast is a bit expensive

Good location, helpful staff. We spent 2 nights here and have no complaints

staff were friendly at check in and out. We did not rent a car, the hotel staff gave me and my husband puic bus tickets which were valid to be used for 24 hours after we checked in around 4 pm. The bus station is very close by and handy.

It’s an Ibis so wasn’t expecting anything in terms of luxury... LOL Room was compact and clean. I just wish they had provided decent sleeping pillows rather than just one the size of a small square cushion!

the location is fantastic, close to everything, there were a noise in two nights from other rooms the staff are good
