Le Baron Tavernier Hôtel Restaurants Spa

In overall, this is the Best Hotel during my 6 weeks European vacation. We reserved regular room with lake view and Hotel gave us free upgraded Deluxe Room. The fantastic view from balcony was speechless and caused us to come back to stay another night on the way back. Hotel has a beautiful spa with very reasonable rate (€15/ hour) & plenty of free parking spaces. I want to say special thanks to Walter & Thelma. ^^ We really enjoyed to stay~

I was traveling with a friend and wanted to see the Lavaux vineyards. This hotel is in an excellent location! Small, upscale hotel with gorgeous views! We did not have breakfast or dinner at the hotel, walked to town. Short walk to train station. If I'm back in the area, I'll definitely stay here again! The most comfortable bed ever!

The hotel looked digested than what it look in thenoictures. the room was also quite small and the view even thiugh it was advertised partial of lake did not had the same impact since it was away from the bed and the immediate face was the garden! the ciew from the breakfast restaurant was good but the breakfast itself was not so good. wet scrambled eggs :( But the staff themselves were very good both in restaurants and the reception very helpeful and made your stay easier. The best thing aniut thisnolace was possibly the jacuzzi spa :)

The hotel has a stunning view and I had longer planned to stay there but I was greatly disappointed! The interior of the hotel, including lobby and reception, are old and worn out, the rooms are small, with mediocre decoration, small bathroom and shower very small! Few and poorly located electric plugs and switches that didn’t make sense (you had to have the main switch to the ceiling lamp located by the main door on in order for all the bed lamps and electric plugs to work!!!). The restaurant, the only part that looked very modern and stunning view were full and not even hotel guests could eat there! overall rather overpriced for such a poor hotel. It is more like a 3* hotel.

Beautifully set up in the vineyards. The rooms are simple but clean. Friendly service and helpful staff. The breakfast overlooking the vineyards is wonderful.

Incredible views! Restaurant is excellent! Have been there several times and hope to go back several more times!

I stayed

Overall excellent. Room was a little on the small side but it was a single so to be expected I suppose (fully booked out for double). Very helpful staff, gave more bottles of water for the room whenever requested at no extra cost. Only downside was that meals were served in a restaurant across the road which wasn't ideal when it was raining, but, the food was outstanding!! And the view was just amazing. Very clean hotel throughout. Would definitely stay again.

The location is a bit Remote when the restaurant of theplace is closed. Also, in cold weather Its a bit far to Wall to various areas of interest. But the place is probably perfekt a warm Day, the view is great and easy to get to.

The evening reception/front desk gentleman provided professional quality service. He greeted me with big smile and joyful energy when I arrived between 9pm and 10pm. He quickly checked me in then assisted me with my luggage and guided me to my room in the dark. My experience with the spa reception was good. When I stopped by the spa to explore what's available at your spa, the receptionist politely informed me that she doesn't speak English. But she used a smartphone translator app to assist me. That's good quality customer service. The disappointing experiences I had were with the daytime front desk receptionists. One lady and one gentleman. I informed the lady on the 2nd day that the info sheets provided in my room regarding Le Deck's hours and the bar hours are incorrect. She politely informed me that they should be up-to-date/current. I informed her the sheets, both the English and the French versions showed the bar opens from 12am to 2am. The Le Deck is closed after October. She then replied that those are outdated info. They changed them earlier this year. Those sheets have been updated accordingly. She didn't apologize for the incorrect/outdated info provided in my room's guest folder nor offered to provide me an up-to-date/current info sheets. She instead was very firm about the info sheets have been updated and I should have the current info sheets in my room. I showed her the info sheets from my room next morning. This is an excellent small hotel with great amenities. It is located high up in the vineyards with an outstanding view looking SE across Lake Geneva towards France. Great breakfast at a reasonable charge in a dining room with good views. We were very comfortable at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. This is not an easy hotel to find so do your google map homework first. We found it easier to approach from theE62 motorway above the town. The Deck bar and restaurant is very popular, so the hotel parking can get quite full at times, but we found spots okay each night.

Amazing, outstanding view. Gym and spa, excellent top quality food in restaurant though expensive. Deck bar very busy but top location.

There was no one at the counter when we arrived to check in. The person at the bar had to go on a trip to find the reception person. Finally after 15mins he came while relaxingly talking on the phone and checked us in. The room we were given was so off the way that we had to drag and lift our large check in bags for a lot of stairs and through a significant distance. No easy way to get luggage from parking lot to room or reception

Excellent location and the room was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful.

The service was way below average and they lie about the view -- booking through hotels.com there is not even an option to get a room with a view. So you basically will be staring at the nearby trees.

Great hotel, beat view of lake Leman Restaurant on deck across the street

The room was modern and offered superior amenities including a heated bathroom floor. Everything about the room was at least 4 star and probably better. Our room had excellent views of the superb surrounding area even though it was much cheaper than rooms that had the best views. Our only complaint was the centrally controlled heating as our room got a bit hot and we couldn't cool it down. The surrounding area is beatiful.

Located at an unique spot in front of the lake. Property in pristine conditions. Personnel helpful and knowledgeable.

Very nice place and great views. Friendly staff. Will be back! Unfortunately you have to pay extra to use the swimming pool and sauna. Fr 15 per person and hour.
