Radisson Blu Hotel, Basel

I had cleaners entering my room everyday despite putting the do not clean sign. Complaining to the front desk did nothing. At the end when I got my bill, it said I was from Palestine. I am an Israeli citizen, with an Israeli passport. And the face they tries pushing there political agenda on me is the reason I would never stay at this hotel again.

The only negative was that other guest’s dog lefy 2 piles of geces in the corridet. Someone tried to remove it but left 2 significant feces smears on the carpet. We immediately notified front desk receptionist. Then next morning we told the housekeeper who was aware. The smears remained for our entire visit until our last morning when we submitted complaints to reception director again, it was finally cleaned at the time of our departure. We completed guest surveys & complaint forms. Since dogs are welcome almost everywhere in European countries then the hotels must be more responsible & respectful to other guests! We hope our next hotel reservation has a MORE SIZEABLE discount from Expedia.

Nice pool, steam and sauna.

Great location next to tram stop, easy walk to train station or town centre. Good sized rooms. Got a too good to go deal for breakfast which was a bargain on the app compared to price charging.

Very good stay, they seemed to be light on staff particularly on the front desk at check in time. They have kiosks to check you in but if there was a problem the staff there were very busy. Very happy with the stay and will stay again

we stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks back on the 4th floor and were very happy with the rooms - however this time we got the 6th floor rooms via expedia and are disappointed- rooms were much smaller to the point of being unusable, bathrooms were old and in need of renovation (shower fixtures falling off), access to the rooms are through what looks like a back office service area… shame for an otherwise nice hotel - avoid 6th and 5th floor rooms - the others are much better

Property was well maintained and in a great central location. The staff was friendly and helpful

The Radisson Blu was our first and last stop for tour of 3 cities. The staff was very friendly and accommodating during our stay. The location of the hotel was an added plus. The Christmas markets and train station were 10 minutes from its location. If visiting Basel it’s a good choice.

Lovely property with very professional and attentive staff. Centrally located with many restaurants and shopping close by. Perfect location while visiting Basal.

Our accommodations were clean and very comfortable. The pool was great for my son, who needed a change of pace. And the hotel was very close to the Christmas markets, which is why we were there.

We had a famtastic stay here for a christmas weekend. 5 minuite walk to the Christmas markets if you prefer to use public transport, it is everywhere and free with the basel card receltion give you. The room.was perfect, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only thing that annoyed us (and complete miscommunication due to the lack of door signs) was out Sunday morning lay in was distrubred by the cleaners...but tbei is because the right sign for the door was not avaliable in our room....the sign appeared in our room later that day for us to use the following day. Apart from that, i cant fault the olace . One of the best hotels i have stayed at in recent years.

Room was not in proper cleaning conditions. Very dusty.

Lovely big pool and comfy large room

Everything is perfect as we expected.

Check in didn't work and after the online failed and I showed up, after wasting time on the machine entering every detail, it failed and tried to charge me again so got to wait ages again for service despite actually arriving first. Get to room, room is lovely and large. Pool is nice and quiet. Try and order dinner and phone won't connect to anyone. only 'busy' tone when I try to call which is a joke because reception is empty and the restaurant was empty. So had to go downstairs, to order room service and was treated like I'm the weird one? Staff in restaurant rushed me out and treated me like I'm weird? Maybe if your phone worked. Tried to explain to reception the phone problem and was ignored. Discovered our shower seal is broken and completely flooded the bathroom when showering so, had to ask reception for more towels which when delivered smelt like cigarette smoke. So, so far, not great for an expensive well known hotel chain. would've waited until the end and seen if my mind had changed it I could've just received my free gift without doing this though. Restaurant food was at least good even if the service is mediocre Tray of room service sat outside our room for 48 hours despite housekeeping coming. Still couldn't phone reception by the end because it was always in use, even at 2am! What busy people since the phone never rings when you're downstairs. Shower was never fixed. Pretty pathetic for an upscale well known hotel brand. Pool was freezing.

Very convenient for the conference centre and nice hotel.

The Radisson blu hotel in Basel is a commercial hotel that seems to think nobody wants to use cash for payments such as the city tax. Use of credit cards is so dangerous and susceptible to scamming/cloning in unfamiliar locations that cash is far preferable.
