Lovely family run hotel in a delightful small Swiss village. The owner is the chef at the restaurant, called Nico’s. We had two excellent dinners there.The reception staff are helpful and friendly.

One of the most beautiful spots in the world. Wonderful hotel, great food, and so welcoming. We enjoyed playing the piano and singing, and babies and dogs are also welcomed and celebrated.

We added a stay in Kandersteg at the last minute and happened upon the hotel thru Hotels.com. It was an amazing hidden gem. The staff was very knowledgeable of the area and helpful. The restaurant serves us the best meal, a five course dining experience, we had in 12 days in France and Switzerland. The breakfast buffet was priced reasonable and had great offerings. And they provided the makings to create your own sandwiches for your hike or excursion for the day! The only negative I can add is the room is slightly dated. But still very roomy.

The pride of ownership was evident during our stay at this beautiful property. We were warmly greeted and provided recommendations of what to do in the area upon arrival. We also received a beautiful upgrade that was unexpected but welcomed of course....I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a cozy and historic place to stay in Kandersteg! (Bonus: it is a very close walk to the cable car that takes you close to the alp summit. The hotel offers free passes for guests which saves at least 30 francs per adult.)

Amazing place we booked very last minute. It has an old style hotel charm about it, and the staff were so helpful. We loved the restaurant food, and our room was comfy and clean. Would highly recommend to anyone and hope to be back myself.

We only stayed 1 nite in the least expensive "double" room, which was comfortable but quite small with a tiny "corner" shower. The hotel staff are very good and helped with information on mountain activities. Did not eat any meals. The hotel is in an ideal location. You can easily walk to the gondola or into town for shopping or restaurants. There is a lot to do and see in Kandersteg and wish we could have stayed for 2 more nights.

It is in a fantastic location- very close to the lift that takes you to the stunning mountain lake and beautiful hiking in summer and winter. It also has a wonderful restaurant.
Short walk from the train station and right next to the Bus stop.
We usually stay here on our visits.

This was a very quaint chalet-hotel located in Kandersteg. They will provide a shuttle to and from the train station but it is within walking distance if you do not have multiple bags. The gondola to Oeschinen is also within walking distance. The people are very friendly and there is a restaurant on site. The view from my room was amazing! I definitely recommend you stay here. I will book herevagain when I return.
