Cold- not working heater

A very tranquil location. Upscale construction that doesn't seem quite finished. There are bikes and kayaks on site for guests. Located right on the water but the beach is not swimmable due to shallow water and limestone/reefs. A very lite Continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. A good location if you are looking for peace and quiet. .

The location of the property was great and we saw the key deer on property and nearby. The room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and clean. The bed was comfortable. The beach front area had some trash that needed to be picked up and the home could use some landscaping. We did not stay for the continental breakfast so can not speak to that. Check in was a little challenging; I did not receive the e-mail day before check-in that I was expecting but did receive a phone call. However, that came up on my caller ID as Calvo Construction so I thought it was a spam call. So we were stressed out about check in and payment which is made just prior to arrival via a link sent by phone.

There were a large number of flight delays and I tried to keep managementinformed with multiple emails and voicemails. Only one response was received. That was from someone with very poor English skills. She sent a video of how to find the room. We arrived very late only to find the door to our room to be padlocked with a combination lock. No combination was provided until the next morning. Manager had mentioned that we could use a fifth wheel travel trailer if there were "issues with the door". We did sleep in the trailer that night. When I discussed this with manager the next morning, she provided the combination but not offered no apology or refund. I feel that there should have been some attempt to compensate us for the substandard accommodations on our first night. All that being said, the property was quite nice, with direct beach access from the room. Also had quite a few Key deer each evening!

Neglected property. Our room was small and uncomfortable. Internet was unstable. No breakfast.

The host is really nice and warm!! Watching the sunrise at Carribean sea with deer and birds is the one I’ll remember forever!

Very nice place on the beach. Wendy was very responsive and helpful on the phone and text prior to, and during our stay. Key Deer wander this laid back conmunity. Treehouse private village was our room, it was quirky, cute, and romantic. There was some maintenance activity on the premises during our stay, but it wasn't disturbing.

We stayed in the Ocean room and it was fantastic! A walk out to the beach with your morning coffee or evening beverage couldn't be better. You can watch the Key Deer walk right by! (Don't forget it's illegal to feed them. That's for their own good folks) Wendy whips up a plentiful and tasty breakfast. The AC worked great and the bed was super comfortable. You can snorkel just a few miles away at horseshoe beach or Bahia Honda beach. We look forward to coming back next year!
