Cambria Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd

Cambria was a great find! There is a direct walking path to universal studios which was awesome. The rooftop restaurant and pool was closed the whole time we were there which was a bummer. Their in house Indian restaurant has amazing food!!

In completely honesty. The only staff that was a delight was Barry. Other than that the stay wasn’t the best. The tv wouldn’t work as the channels would freeze and be stuck for quite some time. Other than that the need to have to call for any service like room cleaning is beyond me. The bathroom would leak if used the shower for too long as well. Wetting a lot of out supplies we brought along. Causing some damage to my partners hair equipment which we have to replace. If at any moment I can be offered a refund of the stay or a refund of one of the nights I would heavily appreciate it as we think it was not worth the stay and would have rather just booked a holiday inn where we would have better service and amenities.

The bed was comfy and the A/C worked really well. Shower temp and pressure were great. The parking lot was tiny and cramped and the "overflow" lot felt less than safe leaving the car there. Staff was nice. Only way to get coffee or hot water in the morning was rooftop, no service of any kind in lobby. Counted 2 small roaches on our last morning in our room. Wouldnt stay again but still decent for the lower price compared to other hotels

loved this property staff was fast & got me checked in right away , the location is great next to everything rooms are clean & spacious definitely will be staying here again on future trips to orlando .

It was great!

The highlight of this Hotel is Ka la the roof top restaurant! Good service ! Good wine ! Very good food ! The building is new and modern ! Negatives? Is very close to the road and the city maintains streets overnight so one we were awake from 2:30am until 4:30am they finish cutting some trees ! Do they do this often ? Not sure !! Another negative is they said they had breakfast ( you need to pay for it) we went two days in a row and there was nobody there ! So we walked until a place called egg-cellent right across the street! Recommend!

Our room was great! Excellent dining options on property. Staff was fabulous. Our only complaint was that the room was EXTREMELY humid with the AC running full boar. No matter what we did the room was literally wet. All the time. The bedding was even damp from humidity. I get that we’re in Florida and that’s just facts of life but not usually in doors with air conditioning. All three days felt like living in a tent in the rain.

Rooftop view was amazing. Dj from 7-11 and had excellent variety of music for all. Service is like no other! Best hotel in Orlando hands down!

Booked due to proximity to Universal and the ability to order breakfast in the morning. The hotel wasn’t quite as close as we though to Universal so we had to Uber instead of walk and the morning we went up to get breakfast there were no staff to be found after 10 minutes or so of waiting and this was at 8am when breakfast was supposed to start at 7am. Still, it is a nice and brand new hotel in a decent location. Didn’t eat in the Indian restaurant in the lobby but it smelled great and was very busy so I’m sure that it is a good dining option. A little noisy during the night with the rooftop bar open until late and we were only on the third floor out of six. 4/5 star stay.

Beautiful and access to all amenities and restaurants. Quiet and easy to access

Cambria is a good base to stay when visiting universal studios with on site hotel close by (4 minutes by walk) with a shuttle to the park. On arrival to the hotel before check in the staff seem to be blunt and unhelpful. We did have a couple of small problems with the rooms shower as it looked not cleaned properly but saw past this the first night only to return the next to a uncleaned room when to reception and was told you should ask us if you want a full clean wasn’t explained this clearly at check in. Spoke to the hotel manager and this was rectified straight away. Rooftop pool was great looking over universal and didn’t try Indian restaurant down stairs but smelt nice every night. Overall nice stay just so wish the staff were more welcoming as this would go a long way. I think we broke the ice with them in the end. Didn’t catch the managers name but hats off you made me keep the faith in the true Orlando hospitality.

Positive : the hotel room itself is really nice. You can tell this is a new hotel as the rooms are upgraded, spacious and really nice. I would stay here again for the convenience of how close the parks are. Negative : check in experience was horrible. When we pulled in, the valet was motioning to another car but my husband couldnt tell who he was pointing to so he was confused. So the valet guy thought it was wise to mouth profanity towards us as he crossed his arms. but unlucky for him, i can read lips. I suggest for the hotel to hire people who actually have customer service skills because he was inappropriate. I intended to complain about his behavior to the front desk but that was also a nightmare. At check in, front desk said Expedia apparently cancelled my booking even though I elected for the option to pay at the property and the booking still shows on my account with check in information in my email. He then tells me it's canceled and they are fully booked. Thankfully, the other front desk person was solution oriented and able to find us a room. I know it’s not their fault that booking was cancelled but they need to establish a better system. I am sure this hotel doesn’t care about content creators having negative experience but social media is how a lot of people book their vacations now. I was filming for Halloween horror nights and just by my negative check in I didn’t even include them in my post. But maybe next time will be better.

Property itself is nice and well kept. Lobby and restaurant are very stylish and clean. Location was great for surrounding attractions. Rooftop pool was neat and the bar staff was nice. The beds were actually super comfy as well! The few buildings adjacent to the hotel are closed and run down, which is not aesthetically pleasing but it was not unsafe.

GOAT

First room was dirty and smelt like mold. The water in the shower took a long time to heat, and the pool is in the middle surrounded by tables where people are eating. Never will I book a room in this hotel again.
