Cathedral Valley Inn

Excellent location if you want to go to famous places in Hanksville. Given its remote location I gave it a 4, even condition of the hotel is not very good. No hot breakfast but I appreciate they have something in the remote location.

The hosts were excellent! Verty friendly, made it feel like home.

Easy to find. A little dated but well maintained, super clean. Staff very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about area. Dining options few and at least 20 minutes away.

This is little motel is a hidden gem! It was quiet and affordable, the laundry facilities only cost $1.75! It is a nice break from the crowds at Canyonlands, but close enough to Hanksville and Torrey to get a meal. Highly recommend!

Could not stay. Miles out of the park. No place to eat. No town at all. 3 buildings, one barn and a cemetery place is empty, closing this week. Big mistake to book. Will Hotels.com refund?!

Great little motel close to Capitol Reef NP. Clean with comfy beds. All we needed for our overnight stay. Dog friendly with a grassy area too. Dakota at the front desk was very helpful!

Very remote hotel with nothing much around. No cell service (but wifi calling). This became an issue when our tour operator couldn't reach us and we couldn't reach them when they didn't show up. Arches National Park is about two hours away. To get to Arches in time for our reservation, we needed to leave early. At 6:15 a.m., we wanted to check out but no one was in the office. No place to drop our key as there are at most hotels. At check-in, we were told someone is available at all times via the posted number. We called the number but no one answered. We called every ten then five minutes. No answer. A few minutes before 7 a.m., we saw someone preparing for breakfast. I continued to call, but he just ignored the ringing phone. I was not comfortable leaving without being able to drop off my key or making contact with someone at the hotel. Finally, he came to the door and motioned for me to drop my key on the ground by the door. I hated to do that because anyone could have picked it up. Other people in the hotel were stirring, waiting for the office to open for breakfast. I did as he motioned because we HAD to leave or miss our reservation. Clearly, there isn't anyone available at all times as they said and posted. It was VERY frustrating. We wasted 45 minutes and barely made the hour window of our reservation. The beds were comfy. Breakfast not served until 7 a.m. We were gone before then each day so I cannot speak to the quality.

Dakota was great and the room was excellent

We got in at midnight and left at 8:15 so we weren’t there long. However the person we spoke with was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He placed keys and Wi-Fi information on envelope and had it on the office door. This morning’s employee was very informative giving us intructions on where we were traveling.

Owners/staff very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay.

The staff is very nice and professional! The breakfast has varieties with nice food. The room is clean and spacious. The bathroom is clean and the water flows well with shampoo, conditioners, and body wash all from the wall of the shower so there is no waste. We had a nice stay at the hotel.
