Choctaw Casino Resort – Durant

Nice stay

Staff was very nice, willing to help, very professional and relaxed. I do not feel rushed or brushed off.

We always stay here around this season when we travel from illinois to texas, is the best resort on the way, big ckean and comfortable.

I arrived the night of my reservation around 10pm which I was told my reservation was cancelled because of non payment. I had picked pay at the property, so I was very shocked. The front desk worker then left to talk to the supervisor about it for about 5-10 min and said the reservation was fixed and I could still have my room. Then when I was inserting my card I was shocked to see that they were about to charge me over $400 more than the original price. I stopped the transaction and questioned the price which prompted the desk worker to have to go consult the supervisor for another 15 minor so. To finally have the correct pricing. The valet wasn’t friendly watched us unloading several bags and never offered a luggage cart which I only found out they had after we made multiple trips back and forth to get everything to our room. The stay wasn’t as kid friendly as it seemed upon booking. We stayed in the spa tower which there was only 2 working elevators. You could expect at least a 10-15 minute wait to find one you could actually get down in due to crowding. There was no microwave in the room which was disappointing and a tiny mini fridge. Beds were also not comfortable. It was underwhelming for the expensive price. Upon check out I was asked for my id and told that my price was $300 more than what I paid so I questioned that also which prompted to the supervisor. They were trying to charge me a cancellation fee after I already stayed for two nights.

New casino is great.

I loved everything about the property except the fee that charged me over my Expedia payment. It feels like theft. I had no choice but to pay. The room was fabulous. But, forget the tribe for charging hidden fees just to make money

There were dirty q-tips on our floor in the bedroom and my husband slipped and fell on a puddle of water in the casino that was in the middle of a walk way with no wet sign

Smoking needs to be eliminated

First time to spend the night at your resort. Short trip but first class. Will be staying with you again in the future. Thanks!!

It was an enjoyable experience.

I was coming to town for my Grad school graduation. I booked 2 rooms well in advance. The website gives an option to pay at booking or at check in, and I chose to pay when we got there. I got a text from the hotel the morning of check in confirming my reservation, but when I got to the hotel to check in they told me my reservation had been cancelled with no explanation as to why. They just told me I’d have to call Expedia, but I didn’t have time for all that, I had to get ready for my graduation. I ended up having to get ready for graduation in my car, changing clothes, doing hair and makeup in the parking lot of the school. At the ceremony I found an Airbnb and we went and stayed there. Also, when we got to the hotel/casino there were zero signs telling us where to go. With 3 different hotels there should be signs telling you where to go to park and check in for each one. Figuring out where to go was super confusing and we burned so much time just trying to find out where to go. Totally bummed my trip went this way. I was so excited to stay at the hotel and use the spa. :(

Check in was a bit of a cluster and the woman who checked us in was rude and not the most helpful, we had to ask someone else for help and directions on how to find our room. The room was spacious and the bathroom was wonderful, however having a pool view wasn’t the best, as the music from the pool was very loud.

Great music venue, good restaurants & fun casino

Our room wasn’t ready when we got there. An hour later, it still wasn’t ready. We took the option for a different room in another hotel on the property and were given $25 toward anything but alcohol. Our new room was very nice. We hung out by the adult pool for a bit. Then had a smoking and a non smoking casino. We saw The Doobie Brothers that evening. The concert venue is wonderful. Not too big and all seats are great. It’s only an hour and a half drive from Dallas. A great get-away! We will definitely go back.
