Best Western Plus Newark Airport West
Excellent location to Newark Airport. The shuttle runs every 30 mins and the bus is pretty big too. Although it may appear a bit old and outdated the room size is pretty big.

Holiday Inn Newark International Airport, an IHG Hotel
All the essentials for a comfortable layover. Rooms are surprisingly spacious. Bottled water can be requested. The lobby resto serves decent fare with great service, while the 24-hr grab-and-go has a satisfying selection of sandwiches and baked goods. 10 min to airport makes Uber rides bearable, while the regular airport shuttle is a good free option if luggage isn't too cumbersome to cart around.
