Clarion Hotel San Angelo near Convention Center

So since we booked through Hotels.com, I had stayed there PVC three other times and when I got there, they had changed their pet policy. They no longer offer pets of any kind in their hotel. They did accommodate me this time, however but they did charge me a $75 fee which I did not get back even though my dogs were especially quiet. They are very well trained, and no mess was ever made. And all I was told is that on their main website it says that there’s no Pettes there can’t guarantee about third-party so if you’re looking for a pet friendly hotel, this is not the one. It also says that they have an indoor pool which nobody mentioned that it is being renovated right now so it is completely closed off. The only reason why choose this hotel is because it had an indoor pool so my kids could go swimming if I had known that it was being renovated and not open I would not have chose to stay there. They could’ve put that on their website as well. They need to update the information on their hotel sites whether 3rd party or not as needed to let guests know these things. Had I known then what I know now I would not have stayed at the Clarion. I would’ve stayed somewhere else. I was not pleased with my stay at all.

Best hotel

The pool and hot tub were nonfuctional even I called ahead of time and asked. I was reassured that they were i good working order.

The staff is very friendly. Beds are comfortable. Hotel is clean, just older. We like the bar & grill in the hotel. Very close to downtown shopping and eating. We have stayed here several times and will continue to in the future.

We have stayed in this hotel for multiple years. The rooms continue to decline. Breakfast used to be one of the best but it also seems to get worse each year and one morning it did not open on time so we had no breakfast. Every year we ask for a receipt and are told it will be e-mailed but in the end I have to call the hotel multiple times to get the receipt. We love the location but maybe it is time to look for another hotel.

It was close to the hospital

Service was decent. Room was clean. Biggest complaints- our room had a door leading into another room. The guests in the next room stayed up all night being loud. Thats not the hotels fault but some warning about the joint-door while booking would have been nice. Also, I specifically booked this room because they stated they had a "pet friendly" policy that allowed one small animal. Our poor rescue dog had to sleep out in the car while we stayed because the hotel had signs everywhere saying pets were not allowed.

Went to this hotel after we cancelled another hotel for bugs. This hotel wasn’t much better. The floor in the room was sticky and nasty. There was hair all in the bathroom and stuck to the shower wall. The soap and shampoo were used. The towels in the room were dirty also filled with the same hair that was in the shower. We were right next to a group of people that were extremely loud all night long. Nothing was ever done. Needless to say we will not be staying here again either.

I booked through Expedia. Clarion advertised pet friendly. When we arrived. They said No pets. I asked for a refund as they had false advertisement problems. Pet friendly was the main reason we booked there. They didnt want to refund my money. I had to contact Expedia and was in contact with them for over 2 hours. Untill they finally relocated me to another hotel.

Decent hotel convenient location

At check asked where hot tub was located. Was told, but was not the heater was broken. So it wasn’t working. Asked where the ice machines were located. Was told that there was a n ice machine on every floor. Wasn't told that the ice machine on the floor we were staying on was broken.

I liked that the property had a pool and hot tub. The area was very dirty. Our ac did not work so we had to switch rooms. The rooms were clean and we had what we needed. Breakfast was canceled the first morning because there wasn’t enough staff. The next day, we went to breakfast at 8 and there was nothing left. That’s my biggest complaint…I choose hotels because I want breakfast there.
