Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Atascadero

A little difficult to navigate because of construction but overall a great stay!

Booked reservation on line. Driving from AZ to CA, halfway there get a e mail from expedia telling me on the day of my reservaton Colony Inn was not honoring reservation with no explanation. Tried calling Colony Inn and never got an answer. Was told later by front desk clerk where I did get room that Colony Inn is under construction (remodel) and they have done this to other folks. Was surprised they would take reservations when the place is gutted.

Ummm….hotels.com do you even read these reviews?? This hotel has been closed down for some time due to remodeling! The only people at the hotel when we rolled in were contractors! We had an hour until our event and had to go find another hotel last minute and it cost us 3x the amount! Take this hotel off of your listing, it’s not open!

Place is under construction and the place is abandoned. Wasted our time booking this place when it should not even be bookable. Save your time by calling ahead first to see if their property is done reconstructing. Because of this, we had to book another place last minute and it turned out to be extra unnecessary trouble for us. Luckily we didn't get charged but please call ahead first, don't get scammed, and don't waste your time.

This hotel doesn’t exist. Cortometraje support was frustrating and took over 2.5 hours to get through all the questions and try to get another room booked. Finally just had them cancel the reservation and drove 4 hours back home. Out 200 in gas and 50 for our booked dinner reservation we missed. This was our 11 year anniversary and it was completely ruined.

This place is under construction, you can't sleep here. My family trip was ruined for the 4th of july. There's no number to contact the property at. No one works there.

This hotel was under major consruction. They ssid the rooms were recently remodeled, however the showerhead only trickled out. It hadn't been replaced when they "remodeled?" Only coffee was in the main lobby. So had to get dressed just to get coffee. My bed sqeaked so bad every time i turned over i was agraid i would wake up the person in the other bed. The ice machine was on another floor, again having to go around construction to get to it. After all this the price was over not cheap for what and where it was. If i was staying longervthan one 1 night i would have cancelled the rest of the stay and switched construction. At least the construction (major) should be have been known. I wont stay there ever again.

Great place!

Hotel is under construction. No more free breakfast, daily room cleaning( new towels or emptying the trash) was told that would happen but it didn’t. Because of construction water pressure was zero. First room the shower didn’t work. Our second room no water pressure. Because I booked through 3rd party. Dates keep getting changed for check out. But when I checked in they were correct. Multiple calls a day about what was correct day. Apparently one call was by the manager who was extremely rude. (Chris). Called to see what could be done. Chris the manager apologized and said new owners new name, and new hotel and offered that they would be able to do something. Basically pushing it off to new management No responsibility on his part. He is useless. Apologized for being rude on the phone but can’t give a discount. I have stayed at this same hotel MANY of times. Worst stay ever!!! Should have been told hotel was under construction. Hotel lobby is ripped apart, water issues and lighting to get in to hotel was unsafe and bad access to hotel. Room keys stopped working ever night Maybe new manager and hotel will be better

They are in the process of remodeling, but I didn't even know they were doing it. They kept it on one side, the pool is in the middle. Great coffee, no breakfast. Fairly close to eateries. Fairly good area. Comfortable.

Staff were very helpful and respectful. Cleanliness of room was semi-okay. The ceiling and walls of the bathroom had a significant amount of mold on them.

The place is under construction. Room was fine but pool not open no signage on the outside. I think it will be fine eventually. Staff was great though.

It was decent but my shower didn’t work. I husband managed to fix it for a bit.

No continental breakfast as advertised. Room air / heat unit leaked and carpet was wet halfway through room. I was told well that is why they are remodeling. Room is advertised as no smoking but smelled of stale cigarettes in room and down hallway. Very disappointed.

very nice for a one night stay. no one at desk at check out time could not wait for return. rooms are wonderful as this is a completely remodeled hotel

They were in the process of a renovation on the exterior or I'd have rated the property higher. Cyrus checked us in and later came up to our room to fix a TV issue, great service, he is a huge asset to your company! Not our first stay here, we will be back.

There was no landscaping. Breakfast was advertised on the site, but it was not available .

Very comfort stay. Large room, comfortable bed, quick check in, well lit parking, room temp perfect. Only negative was 30 minutes late night were I could here two guys talking loud next room over. Otherwise, excellent value and will return.

Decent hotel for the price. Clearly under renovation at this point so there wasn't even a sign out front. No coffee in the rooms or any way to buy it without driving. Fine for an overnight
