Comfort Inn Beach/Boardwalk Area

Good place with location close to boardwalk. They serve basic hot breakfast. Room is clean and my only complain is that the pillows does not smell fresh it smell like it has been used :(

Awesome customer service

Dropping off my son to UC SANTA CRUZ, we decided to crash one night here. I used at $100 gift card & credit card both . Hotels.com doesn’t let you add your one key points too , bummer. Check in was ok waiting like 2 minutes for someone to come to the desk. The lobby is teeny tiny, probably gets claustrophobic during free breakfast 7 am to 10 am. The stay is ok it has the bare necessities you need , walkable to boardwalk, free parking , free WiFi , fridge & microwave etc. The TV channels were horrible nothing to watch except old movies , food network or Sportscenter. Neighbors are Super 8, Brand new courtyard by Marriott across the street. We felt safe here. Parking has plenty of LED lights and every door to rooms has bright lights also. There is garbage cans everywhere. It can get kinda loud people coming in and out at wee hours of the night, understandable due to the tourists. Two place next door and 7-11 liquor stores nearby. Downtown SC is 1-2 miles away only! No real issues here to really complain about - oh yeah the faucet sink is outside the bathroom shower . The toilet flush is weird it flushes opposite and the hot cold turns for the faucet is reversed . Stayed in room #404 upstairs next to last from the corner. Room wasn’t that cold or hot perfect. The shutters on the window blocked the light about 90% I’d say. They have a do not disturb sign if you wish to use it. Hope this honest review helps! I might stay here again or stay someplace else similar. Paid like $230.

Small property but the rooms are quite spacious and updated. It’s tucked away from any tourist area which makes it quiet, but close enough to drive a short distance. I’d definitely stay here again.

Was given someone else room or uncleaned room. Bed was not made tv blasted and steam from someone showering recently! Such a disappointment after driving 3 hrs and exhausted. Had to wait for another while they kept calling house keeping which made no sense but was upgraded to a king from a queen

It was very small and the bathroom door was broken and the shower was very dirty, The sink leaked all over the counter and got me and my bsf stuff DRENCHED in water. Would NOT recommend for more than 2 people. The pool was the size of a small car and looked like it hadent been filtered of cleaned in months. Would highly recommend the Marriott across from the place. ❣️❣️

Good location to the board walk. Room clean and tidy. Average hotel. Not enough tables and chairs so had to eat breakfast standing up. Basic hotel

The hotel was conveniently located a couple minutes walk to the boardwalk. We had arrived early and was able to park in the parking lot while we went to the beach. Everyone was extremely nice. Parking is a little tight.

Staff was amazing but room wasn’t what I was expecting. Hair on and dirt on the floors stains on the sheets and super small. Overall it served its purpose but won’t book again.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean. Hotel is in a very convenient location. It does feel safe to walk the beach from there. I do recommend.

Made our stay great! First time staying here & The main staff were awesome, checkin was on tome, even a few minutes early. room was clean & it’s only a 4 minute walk to the boardwalk. We’ve come often and have stayed at multiple Santa Cruz hotels, but will definitely be back for this one!

The staff was great

The pool is not big enough to be called a pool. There are not enough parking spaces. The room and bathroom were not clean, everything smelled dirty. In the morning, the front office has a loud BEEEEEEP BEEEEEEP alarm on a speaker emitting sound outside that mimics a large truck backing up - it goes off every 5 minutes to wake everyone up. Absolutely horrendous.

Parking is tight but was expected being a Saturday. Very very short walking distance to the boardwalk. Safe area. Staff is very nice and helpful.
