The staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating! Upgraded us because we were disappointed with whirlpool not working. Room could have been swept better, but would stay here again.

The staff were amazing they went out of there way to accomadate me and my guest the building itself is in need of some major repairs but I had a great and felt very comfortable during my stay!

Clean room, quiet. Great food at restaurant across the parking lot. Well maintained baggage caddies. (I have a lot of stuff I travel with!) Bed was very comfortable. Good sized TV. Handy mini fridge and microwave. Would have liked a hard-line internet. Had to create a script to keep the WiFi from shutting off on my system. (I travel with internet connected gear...) Gourmet coffee was good in the common area. Coffee in the rooms was handy but not as good. Water pressure in the shower was adequate but the pressure in the sink was surprisingly slow. (I like good pressure to rinse my toothbrush...) Staff was all smiles, and the cleaning crew was friendly and considerate. Telephone in the room had stutter dial tone and showed a missed message. When message button was pushed, the phone used rotary pulse dialing, which set the phone back to just dial tone, but the missed message light remained. Not a biggie, but part of the review... I didn't use the pool or the exercise gear, but I saw other folks were enjoying it. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Hotel was clean for the most part but they were lacking every consumable imaginable. There was 1 roll of TP in the room, when I asked at the desk for more they said they were out. Checked in Saturday and they didn't service our room until Friday and only after I asked at the desk. Asked multiple days for new towels and again, they said they were out. There were only a handful of cars in the parking lot as well so they weren't busy so I don't know why they didn't have any supplies on hand. Fair warning that the garbage trucks pickup at 5am so you are awakened by the slamming of the dumpster multiple times right outside your room. The breakfast was OK, a typical hotel continental breakfast with some eggs and bacon or sausage and waffles. The staff was friendly.

It's an okay hotel. Lots of things need to be updated-carpeting in hallways, toilets, tubs, lighting. One of the front desk workers sat at the front desk doing her makeup while I checked out. Employees were having the guests breakfast. One of them had a plateful of bacon resulting in the guests not having any. I have been to this property three times in the past three months. Each toilet ran constantly, the bathtubs are dripping, lightbulbs need replacing in the bathroom. The whole property needs updating.

Plaster falling from bathroom ceiling, dresser drawer would not stay shut right at the end of the bed so watch your knees when you walk by! Generally old, outdated bathroom, tub faucet very loose on wall, no wash cloths. Rm 129
Free breakfast was not good. Thinnest bacon I've ever seen, it would break apart just trying to pick it up. Stale danish, really stale! Paper plates. They would be better off just doing a continental breakfast, but do it right and make sure it's fresh.

I had to put in a maintenan request for the shower handle in my room. I was told that maintenance would come on Saturday or Sunday. Maintenance mever came and fixed the shower handle. The breakfast in the mornings is a joke. They only served cereal and waffles, no eggs or anything to that sort. I expect more for how much the rooms cost to stay there. Everytime i stay here, something is always wrong with the pool or the hot tub. This is just not a good place to stay.

Overall I had a good stay at this hotel. The room was fairly clean and in good condition. The bed was very comfortable, and temperature control was good. There were a few things that can be improved for this location. The common areas are quite dated, and in need of refurbishing. The hallway carpets are covered in stains, and should be cleaned or replaced. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast, or lack thereof. The location website states, hot breakfast and signature waffles. There was nothing hot for breakfast, only bagels and yogurt available, and of course no waffles. I wound up going out for breakfast some of the days as I needed something more substantial to start my day. If traveling to Rock Falls again, I would probably try a different hotel.
