Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Langhorne

I would usually give the property five stars across the board. The problem was they were redoing the front entrance and it was inconvenient to go in the side doors. That is the only complaint I have.

The lamps were falling over in the room

Quiet clean and nice

Housekeeping tried to enter my room while we were sleeping. I was very upset I told the front desk and asked to make sure my room would be cleaned and it was not. Besides the scare of someone entering no one came back. In addition we needed to leave early for a family emergency and the front desk clerk was sleeping and not helpful at all. Very disappointed!!

Property was being remodeled and had lot of noise since early morning.

I check into my room and it is 85 degrees in there. I attempt via both window unit display and wall thermostat to adjust the temperature and it appears to be malfunctioning before the display shuts down completely. I go down to the front desk and explain the situation and they send me back up to my room where a maintenance person will allegedly come assist shortly. After ten minutes or so of sweating in my room I go back down and ask if the maintenance person is on their way. The man says he will come up and take a look himself. Obviously useless as it is simply broken. He says he will send someone right away but I am like I can't really stay in there I will wait in the lobby. TWENTY minutes go by (now over half an hour after I checked in) and finally another gentleman FINALLY offers to change my room. Thank God. Should not have taken that long, they should have just moved me immediately. I bet if I wasn't a young woman traveling alone I would have been instantly switched. And the hotel doesn't even include breakfast. Second gentleman did call my new room after to check in on everything which was nice. He was a taller fellow and the shorter man was unhelpful.

Great front desk

The manager at the property was very attentive and courteous. He replied to my initial review promptly and wanted to make things right. We really appreciate that. The Courtyard is near restaurants, shopping, and close proximity to major highways.

Easy parking and hotel was clean.

Spending time with family near by. Just slept there so a good bed was a major factor. Bed was perfect. Work being done outside on the building (painting) woke us up in the morning, not too happy about that.

Overall a great stay. I just have on suggestion. We did the Sesame Place Package so we were there with young children. We ordered pizza and went down to the lobby to eat (so the kids were at a table and not destroying the room) and were told we could not sit in the Bistro. (I saw two other young families during our stay struggling with the same issue) However, in the area we were able to sit there were only bar height tables or "living room" type tables and chairs. I feel like simply exchanging a few of the Bistro tables for the bar height tables would solve this issue and make young families more comfortable. I do want to be clear that the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable in the area we were allowed- however it just wasn't a kid friendly set up. Given that you do the Sesame Place Package I hope resolution will be considered
