DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown

The parking garage was convenient but expensive. The area did not have high traffic- so it seems like parking should be complementary. The door was locked when we arrived. It felt unsafe and unwelcoming, but mostly because the staff made us feel that way. The property seems like it is starting to fall apart, I hope they are remodeling, but there was no signage to indicate that they were in the process. Then when we arrived in the room it had a strong perfume smell. It made me wonder what yucky smells they were trying to cover up.

You get what you pay for, as they say. It's an OK place to stay, conveniently located downtown. There was an issue with my room temp but was (eventually) given a different, warmer room (initially being offered extra blankets). Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

There is no AC in hotel at all. The room became stuffy, dry and very hot even though it’s winter due to closed space. At night, hotel frontal desk was very unfriendly in explaining that they only turned on AC in summer and heater in winter. Even I set at 60 F, it was very hot. I needed to open window at night in this kind of cold weather. I have never opened window door in hotel before. The lamp and furniture were very old even it is clean. So disappointed to double tree this time

Please have your housekeeping staff make sure the windows are shut before people check in. It’s negative 4 degrees outside. Absolutely terrible experience

Water pressure in my room was terrible for bathroom sink but rest of room was good and clean.

Great place to stay with very fair rates!

Room was large, nice for a family of 5. Beds were not Queen sized, but full so that was a bit tight. Enjoyed having the gym close by. Walked to the Vikings and TimberWolves games. Ubers & Lyfts were close by and easy to access.

Everything was up to par at this hotel! Staff was nice, everything was clean, and they even offered water and snacks at the front desk.

It was fine for a couple nights. The entire hotel was very hot. We had to have the windows in the room open. The toilet also barely flushed.

Close to the places we wanted to go to. Comfortable beds, great room and staff.

Check in was a breeze, parking was easy with an easy out, staff were responsive. Rooms were spacious and quiet. The ice machine on our floor was not operational, but there is a small refrig in the room, plus a microwave, and a coffee maker.

I had higher expectations for this hotel than i should of. Had to pay for anything extra basically nothing was complementary besides wifi. Had to pay if you wanted breakfast, parking, didn’t have a vending machines with drinks so had to get the expensive ones by the front desk and only could charge them to the room. Couch cushions were stained and had some holes in it. There wasn't any blankets for the couch bed in the room. Overall it was alright but for the price i expected more so i don't know if i'd stay here again.

I had to book at the very last minute due to a problem with the heat at my home. I needed somewhere I could get to by bus and which wouldn't break the bank. I haven't booked a hotel in years and when I got to the front desk about a half hour after booking, I was warmly welcomed, asked for ID and given my room key. It could not have been easier or more pleasant. The room was fine, and the bed was comfortable.

Very nice hotel

Staff had bad attitudes and not hospitable at all! No food choices and the on site restaurant was inconsistent with the hours. $18 for breakfast and it wasn’t worth it! Coffee,Cookie and free water was the best thing about the stay. I would not recommend this hotel as there are other options in the area.

When to this location due to a family Emergency and i was informed this was the closest. Room was good staff were rude and parking each day charges are crazy.

Bathroom sink dripping and unable to get more than lukewarm water from sink and shower.

Bathroom definitely the worse for wear but the bedroom looked very nice. Excellent cleanliness. Great location for downtown dinner and theater.

We had registered for 6 occupants and there were only three towels, no bedding on the pullout nor were there any ava liable i. the room. We had to call the front desk for bedding and they told us there were no staff that could bring it to us. We also had to call for more towels and pick them up ourselves. The shampoo and the conditioner in the shower were both empty and and we ran out of toilet paper on the first stay. To top it off the window was stuck open about two inches. We called right away to get it fixed and they said they would send someone to our room. No one ever showed up and we had to crank the heat and also put towels in the opening sit was -18 degrees celsius. We requested housekeeping for the next day and when we returned hours later. no one had come nor did they ever. I called the front desk to voice my concerns and she pretty much told me that they housekeeping wasn’t her department. Not helpful at all.
