Extended Stay America Suites Jacksonville Deerwood Park

The staff at night was not very friendly. There were people slamming doors all day and night. Missing light bulbs tub was nasty toilet seat was loose. Phone and alarm clock not even plugged in. Tv remote didn’t had to get another one from the front desk

The hallway smelt entirely of weed on the second floor, carpet was filthy and flooring sent as if it had putts underneath carpet. The room itself was fine but you could hear just about everything going on in the hotel. Couldn’t fall asleep till almost 2am from footsteps being heard all night to doors opening and shutting.

Room was filthy. Especially the floor. Found used bandaids, huge dust clumps under the beds and generally a very dirty floor that clearly hasn’t seen a mop in a long time

Waiting to transition into new house. I chose the extended stay to try to save money on lodging in meals. I chose this extended stay because it was not far from my job and also convenient with shopping and in a busy prominent side of town. Lobby was nice and clean. Rooms need and upgrade and better upkeep. It is just temporary. When I had to stay another week it was a little frustrating trying to know we were in a small space to try to cook something and you had to open the window so the smoke alarm wouldn't go off. The beds are very soft and needed new mattresses even on the sofa bed.

Not What we thought

The room was at best average. A lot of suspicious activities going on there. The AC worked great as well as the shower. Also made use of the iron and ironing board. We were told they lock down the hotel at 11 so if our key wouldn't allow us in then we had to call someone from outside? Weird.

The price was very affordable but the room itself was not the best .There was an odd smell upon entering the room itself . The bathroom look so worn down , the kitchen area is old / rusty looking , the pull out sofa bed was old , rusty and didn’t have a sheet on the actual mattress. The mattress was old yellow with brown/ gray spots . When cleaning up a few things off the floor , we then realized the floor looked as if it wasn’t mopped . The painting of the tree was also upside down . To get in the building the doors was fully of nasty fingerprints and dirt . I have allergies towards pets with fur , while walking down the hall , getting on the elevator and making it to the room my throat tightened and I began having an allergic reaction to the smell of pets .

Furniture was falling apart and TV remote was missing. Electric outlet by the bed did not work. No breakfast which was promised.

It was a nice and comfortable stop for us and our two little dogs. The front desk was very helpful in getting us situated and ensuring we had everything we needed.

Do not stay at this hotel. There were roaches in the rooms and the mattress were disgusting. The pictures and reviews online were very deceptive.

There was so much wrong with this property I don’t know where to begin. I literally have video footage of everything. There was blood on the ceiling and walls, the stove hasn’t been cleaned, I was told all the bathtubs were being remodeled through the whole hotel and let me tell you I wouldn’t wash in there if it was the last place on earth. There were bed bugs, the floor wasn’t swept, the outlets didn’t have covers on them, and don’t get me started on the condition of the mattresses. Then the clerk working wouldn’t give us her name and didn’t try to accommodate anything. Not to mention the phones to the front desk was under construction as well. This is the WORST extended stay I have stayed at. The fact I had my son with me and we basically had to sleep in the car until I was able to get my room switched was UNACCEPTABLE. I wouldn’t recommend this location to my worst enemy….or even a dog off the street. BEWARE AND STAY AWAY !!!!

Staff veey polite and helpful. Property was clean and well taken care of. Room was clean and set up nice. Only thing i could say is there wasnt any plastic water cups in the room.

Whoever is the proprietor of this hotel needs to have his franchise revoked. Not only was it dirty, smelly and unsafe, the bathroom didn't even have a shower curtain. I wish i could get my money and my time back. EXTREMELY disappointed with this property.

Room was nice. Could have been cleaner. Smelled of cigarettes even though it was non smoking. Had to pay deposit of more than my stay which I won't get back for 3-5 days.

After long day of travel we arrived at the hotel just after midnight . There was a phone out side of the lobby . I reached the clerk named Jarvis he told me they don’t check any one in after midnight. They did not give me a room. I was left scrambling to find a place for my children and I to stay. Then at 1am I saw I was charged for the stay. I never got a room! I’m my whole life of traveling I have never heard of such a rip off scam! No where in the welcome letter from the property does it show that you won’t get a room if you show up after midnight.

The manager is a cu*t and we ended up getting a downgraded room with nothing I paid for and was met with attitude from a manager who look like she could be the mortal Kombat character mileena. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a dog. I will be speaking to corporate on the matter in regards to this unprofessional hotel and it's employees

Says free breakfast but went down there around 8 and was only coffee. The bathroom was disgusting looked like someone had been putting cigarette butts out on the toilet and wasn’t clean didn’t even bother taking a shower it looked like something out of a horror movie.

The property I live at had a power outage which led reasoning for the extended stay at your business. It was close to my job which was a plus. The front office staff was nice and professional, no problem there. The room floor was so dirty that it turned my feet black. I had to buy cleaning supplies to clean my room that should have already been cleaned. The let out bed had urine stains and no sheet, Iwas disgusted. The beds were very uncomfortable and the springs were digging in my back, which left me with lower back pain. The corner door that led out to the parking lot in back was broken to where anyone from the street could just walk in. That is a safety hazard. It was not worth the amount of money that I paid, which was close to$600 for 6 days total. I hope to be accommodated for this. Thank you.
