Global Luxury Suites at The White House

A well appointed apartment in the heart of DC. Very safe and very nice staff.

The property is very clean and has everything we need for our stay. I love that it’s very homey.

I was there on busines for 3 days. The stay was excellent, and a good value. My only complaint was that I would have liked an office-type since I was working on my computer for many hours, and I would have liked a larger intro pack of coffee.

Recommend, will return

Great location for visiting the White House, Washington Monument and world War II Memorial. We knew this operated as an Air B&B so usual hotel amenities are not available. Desk staff very nice and helpful and always there. Felt safe coming and going, key fob used to enter property. Did not need to call Global Luxury Suites help line. Cheesecake Factory on floor 1 for breakfast or dinner. Old Ebbitt Grill 2 blocks away.

If you’re expecting a nice place, then you’ll surely be disappointed. We arrived at our place with multiple issues (lights burnt out, large amounts of dust on the ceilings/light fixtures, a soap holder ripped off the shower wall, and what looked like water damage that warped part of the hallway by the kitchen). After unpacking after a long day we decided to wash off and realized we didn’t have hot water in both bathrooms. We contacted the company and received no response. Next morning we talked to the front desk and they mentioned that the hot water was a building wide problem but mentioned it was fixed. We checked the water shortly after and we still didn’t have water. Maintenance came in and said a part was needed but at the moment there was warm water, it was barely luke warm. The next day they came back and worked on the showers, they said it was fixed. We still had no hot water but barely warm water. We contacted the rental company multiple times to get this resolved and we got nothing back. When I kept calling their phone line, we were told maintenance tried to knock but “we didn’t answer that morning” or that “the problem was already resolved when they talked to the building.” This was never the case. We worked remotely each Mon-Fri. So after 9 nights/10 days of no hot water, maintenance finally fixed it. We made multiple requests for this property to provide a refund since it’s unacceptable not to have any hot water for that long. No response yet. Avoid at all costs!

Easy process to check in and out and convenient to the heart of Washington, DC.

This apartment was beautiful and there is a cheese cake factory right downstairs. Also a coffee shop downstairs try the lavender honey latte it was amazing!!!

Booked for 3 guests but not enough blankets and linen. No towels changed or washed. Disappointed this room is only for 2 persons. Do not book for a family only for a couple. Concierge no help at all.

Do not stay here. There is absolutely no natural light coming into this unit as you are in a square and you are looking right into somebody else’s apartment. Not to mention the place is dark no lighting in the bedroom other that table lamp, no large mirror. Not to mention, I’m spending money for my vacation. I don’t wanna have to clean at the end of it and there were strict instructions on having to put out the garbage and clean???

The property is convienently located to the metro and downtown attractions. It has a kitchen and other standard apartment features which are good for feeling like you live there as a local. We had some difficulty understanding how to find and get in the building and didn’t have information needed for accessing the room. It was more complicated than it needed to be and the communication was not timely or well-integrated with third party booking services (eg Expedia).

Only complaint is communication with front desk. As it is not a hotel it felt difficult to contact the front desk directly prior to arriving.

The mattress was no good at all

The accommodations were OK however I never heard back from the management company after multiple messages. I hope they improve their communication for the future.

Great Location but poor in staff service. Management phone line never picked up the phone.

We had a great stay in DC at this property! I had to book a last minute hotel and for the price I was going to pay for a standard hotel room near the White House, I found this great deal with Global Luxury Suites on Expedia and got an ENTIRE one-bedroom apartment. Wow. And a block from the Metro and from the White House. AMAZING rooftop patio. I was worried when I read the negative reviews, but I had no problems. Great location, great apartment...just be aware that this company rents out apartments in a residential apartment building and is not a hotel proper. There was always an extremely friendly front desk/concierge, but they were building staff and nothing to do with Luxury Suites other than dispatching your key at check in. So naturally they aren't able to help with any issues with the room; you have to call customer service. We had no problems at all but I could see this being a potential issue if your key weren't there to check in, or if there were a substantial problem with the room and you could only leave a message when you called! Having said that we had no issues and completely enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!
