There was a gas smell that made me and my husband head hurt safe days it happy all the tome

The room smelled like mold and dampness. I asked to change rooms but unfortunately, there were no vacancies so we just stayed because there weren’t any vacancies in the other hotels nearby. I was told that there had been a flood in the hotel.

We went to Alabama just for two days to see our son, a student in the University of Alabama, and to see the game Bama vs. Georgia. The hotel was coveniently located close enough to the airport (10 min) and had all the amenities we needed, that airport hotels may not have had. Staff were lovely, bed comfortable, room clean. If we ever in town again, we'd love to stay there once more.

There was a musty odor in the third-floor hallway.

Upon entering the hotel, there was a horrible natural gas smell that overtook the entire hotel. I got an immediate headache While checking in. I mentioned it to reception and was told that it’s normal because of the pilot lights from the grill. As we proceeded upstairs to the third floor, we noticed that the smell was also in the elevator and our room. We were uninformed that construction was taking place, so there was definitely a mess and the pool was unacceptable because of the construction. Fortunately We took immediate action and called another Hilton hotel that was located in Birmingham. Because of a convention they were booked however they accommodated us immediately and rebooked us at the Embassy suites downtown. The only thing I can say good about the garden inn Is the location is easy on and off the major highway. I would not choose to stay there again, especially for the price.

Hotel had a major pipe break so part of the lobby was blocked as well as gym and pool. We were not aware of this prior to booking.

It was a fine stay, down side was the building was under repair so we could not access the pool, certain parts of the hotel was not completed and was not a good look.

Renovations/repairs were in progress, pool was closed, musty smell Based on the looks of the renovations/remediations, it appears they were dealing wil moisture / mold issues There should have been some notification of the current status prior to booking, at 200+ for one night it was quite pathetic

The room was big and comfortable

Nice comfortable beds. Was able to have a pet with me. Probably the nicest and friendliest employees. Exceptional customer service.

No continental breakfast included. Hotels that are less expensive offer something

The property was on the 3 star level in my opinion.

Check-in was easy and hassle free. Great Hilton hotel and location for an event at BJCC Birmingham, AL. I’ll definitely stay here again as the staff was very pleasant and cordial.
