Holiday Inn BOONE - UNIVERSITY AREA, an IHG Hotel

Pictures are deceiving and price compare to other around is expensive , heated pool not in good conditions at all, smelly, broken equipment and not appealing at all.. Will nit again and don't recommended

This hotel was quite disappointing for a couple of different reasons. The room layout was odd and uncomfortable. The "restaurant and bar" that said it was open until 10pm was already closed at 8pm on a Friday evening. There was a space heater plugged into an outlet in the middle of our hallways that definitely looked like it was a fire hazard. All the rugs in the building were puckered.

This was an last minute booking but had to cancel after less than 2 hours as I found someone to drive my son back. But the property manager wouldn't like to refund my payment even though Expedia intercede, where I made a booking. Very disappointed with the management of the hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel who were not accommodating at all.

Room heater only blew cold air. No room change was possible. Staff did provide space heater. Jacuzzi & showers had lukewarm water at best. At the cost we paid near $200, one might think they would provide a free breakfast? Nope. And they begrudgingly provided my son with a glass of water to drink in the morning. Not impressed to say the least!

Nice stay for one quick night to the mountains to see snow.

Everything was great except for the neighbors partying past 1am. Not the hotel’s fault but it ruined the night.

It was a great clean place but we were only stopping unexpectedly due to running into some snow otw to TN.

unfortunately pool was closed due to it being green. We chose this hotel because we wanted a pool to use and were really let down :(

This property was terrible for our stay/ our room was in poor condition, no curtain the outside, no phone to call staff, broken heater. Finally got moved to a second room and it was so loud that I had to call the front desk after midnight 2 nights in a row. Plumbing was so loud it woke everyone in the room up to flush the toilet. Heater was so loud you couldn’t hear the tv when on. No dining most hours of the day, carpet was in poor condition.

Property and rooms were great. However, they don't enforce quiet hours. High School kids were running through the halls and being loud until after midnight. Calls to the front desk did nothing. If you want quiet, you may want to go somewhere else.

Friendly supportive staff except For the night clerk at check in. He seemed unwilling to fulfill my request for blankets on the beds.

the location is perfect and very convenient. The staff are ok. The pool is not as good as in the picture we didn't like the pool condition. The only thing that I can't pass, and we really didn't like is the way they are serving breakfast it not a self-serving breakfast. you will have to order at the counter, and they will bring it to your table. that not the problem is they want to do it that way, but it not convenient at all, as there is only one person behind the counter and he is the same person serving, so when the poor person has to do all this the line is already crazy and get crowded and you can wait as long as you don't imagine standing and waiting for him to finish and take your order and then wait again to have it on the table if you are lucky you can get your food in 15 minutes if not then work on your patient before you get there. not blaming the workers because they are definitely doing their best to work out the situation, but the hotel management need to figure it out. when you have bounch of kids with you and you have to leave in the morning to do activities or to leave the hotel and you will have to deal with this in the morning it not fun.

The parking lot and especially the sidewalk were slick and icy, nothing was done to clear it away in 3 days. It also seems that many hotels save their worst rooms for Expedia this is yet another room that I have booked through the app and I ended up with a room with damaged blinds that were inoperable and falling off the roller.
