Holiday Inn Club Vacations NEW ORLEANS RESORT, an IHG Hotel

I booked King rooms and they would only give me queen. There was no hot water and garbage trucks dumped outside the room for an hour every morning between 3 and 6 AM. I wasn't aware this was a timeshare property and they try to sell you on attending a timeshare meeting for about 20 minutes before they will give you the key to check in then call every day trying to get you to attend a meeting.

Mrs. Sue, was the first person to welcome us, and it just seemed like we were home!! Amazing staff , rooms and southern hospitality!! So close to everything!! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to stay here while visiting NOLA!!

I had a blast

The location is perfect! You can literally walk everywhere. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Pillows were not great but they worked. Door men/women were super nice. Front desk women were nice. Now for the bad. We knew we were going to get hassled about timeshare crap but we still got suckered in (who doesn’t want $300 in free alcohol while in NOLA? lol). We were told it was 90 min and they wouldn’t pressure us. Well it was 3 hours and Margo started out super nice and then when she realized we weren’t going to buy she turned into the devil. She cussed at our friend and got up and left. Would I stay there again, probably but I would definitely pass on the timeshare meeting.

The room was great, spacious and excellent facilities. The pool and gym were great, and free laundry access was awesome too. Bar in the lobby was good and popular and a convenient store in the lobby was very helpful. Only downside we were woken up three times during our stay being called by VIP guest services trying to get us to watch a presentation and sign up.

Everyone was so nice. Felt safe. Loved the bar. The only two things not happy about were the pillows on bed. Had 3 pillows and they were small. And the hot water came and went to cold in shower.

Amazing time. Loved our 2 bedroom villa. Had everything we needed and more. Rooftop heated pool was an amazing plus.

The hotel was great, we had a suite and it was so much room for my husband and me. The staff was nice and attentive. The area was close to bourbon but far away where you can get some rest. Will definitely stay again!

Would never go back - high pressure sales

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back here. Even with the atrocity that took place on Bourbon Street on New Year’s eve, we felt safe, welcomed, and well looked after.

Not sure how I got roped in to a 90 minute presentation that ended up being over 2 hours but somehow I did. Checkin was a mess due to having to do it once at the counter then again at the concierge counter. Very noisy all night long. I’ve stayed in different places in NOLA but this was the loudest. The terrorist attack changed the complexion of the stay. Couldn’t go anywhere and the hotel really didn’t have anything to do inside. The YV’s only had 5 channels. No smart access. You figure a significant event occurs less than a block away from your property that you’d have the decency to check on their well being. This did not happen. As a matter of fact the staff acted like nothing happened at all.

We loved the property inside and the location’s proximity to Jackson Square but the windows must be single-paned because we could hear everything happening outside late at night (e.g., arguments, shooting, possibly an assault, etc.).

Other than the lady that first greeted us upon our arrival there was nothing impressive about this hotel other than the location. Had no idea we would be paying over 300 a night to look at a wall. Stayed for 3 nights and had absolutely no housekeepers. Once again odd when you pay this much for a hotel. Just a bit disappointed.

Great location. Great hotel. Safe area. Clean hotel. Spacious. Great for a stay, if you will be going out and about in the city.

The resort was wonderful, the staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Mrs. Sue, she gave a friendly smile and advise eagerly...overall the resort and the location is perfect

Great location. Staff was wonderful. Room very clean, large and comfortable. Only issue we had was very little water pretfor shower.

It was centrally located to everywhere I needed to go

Everyone from valet to the check in desk were really nice. We loved the rooms. We would definitely stay here again!

Vernicer at the front desk saved my TAIL helping me find a same day reservation to move from an incredibly loud VRBO a few blocks away. Meanwhile Miss Sue entertained my 3 & 5 year old kids- they kept looking for her the rest of the trip. The room was great, the property was clean and well staffed. Our room faced Bourbon Street so not noise free but so so so much more doable with small kids compared to staying on Canal St directly. Highly recommend!!!
