Holiday Inn Express & Suites HOWELL, an IHG Hotel

It was an average hotel. Our initial room smelled like weed, but we were immediately given a better room a few doors down so we were grateful. The man responsible for the buffet breakfast was fantastic. He was friendly, helpful and eager to ensure we had everything available to us. It was great to see someone take such pride in the work he does. I wish I had noted his name to recognize him personally here. Thank you.

Noisy. Interstate rigs shifting constantly.

The furniture was unbelievably stained. Carpets was stain and gross. Huge cracks in the bathroom around the sink. Tile was broken. I pulled the sheets back and there was human at clearly Cat or Dog hair all over the sheets. I was one of those places that you didn’t want to leave your bags on the ground because it was that gross. I stayed in the suite because I had my family. After getting into the room I felt terrible that this is where my family was going to sleep. Gross Gross Gross

It was a great stay

The room was not in good condition. When we arrived there was still trash and dirty towels from the guests before. Every inch of the room was either stained, or broken. The pull out sofa sleeper was so disgusting and stained we had to ask for a roll away bed. The bathtub was gross that even after we scrubbed it ourselves we had to lay a towel down just to use it. Breakfast was good, and dining area was clean. The front desk was very helpful and very nice, however, the maid staff was extremely rude and actually told my family to “move” when we were in her way in the lobby.

The breakfast served was awful. The bagels and sweet rolls were hard. The fried eggs were very unappealing, and the fruit was not ripe enough to eat. The best part of the breakfast was the coffee. The updated lobby was nice but the rooms still need some work.

Frint desk worker didn't tell us anything but our room number. Not waht breakfast or pool hours were. Stains all over the floor. No tissue in our room. Needed to ask for toilet paper. One bed felt like the springs were broken. Breakfast was decent and close to many things.

Heaters in rooms not working properly, had to have one in our party moved to another room, heater no better. Not good for an 80 year old cold natured person. This hotel needs completely renovated, noticed duct tape on carpet seams in hallways, room carpeting was old and stained, furnishings/walls etc very very worn. Only hotel rooms I could find in the area with two University home football games. And with the jacked up rates, totally not worth the money paid. Will not stay here again.

The staff here were so friendly and accommodating! The breakfast was really great hotel breakfast considering price of room, very clean property, didn't visit pool area. The only negative, and honestly this is being picky, front desk and breakfast area are very new, you can tell hallway areas and rooms were not updated, no cleanliness or smell issues at all

The towels were old. The couch cushions didn’t match the upholstery. Just one elevator to service three floors seems unsafe. TV remote was old style

A bit over priced for a basic type hotel. Nothing special just a place to sleep and move on.

Horrible experience all arounf

The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our room, however, was not very pleasant at all. The sheets and pillows were clean, but that was nearly it. The carpet in room 201 is extremely stained, there are stains on the walls of the room, the tile in the bathroom is cracked and moving when walked upon, and one of the two queen beds was very unstable.

The second and third shift employees were unfriendly and unhelpful. Pretty disappointing. Parking was not available, and we were told to park down the street and walk back.

It was a nice quite hotel some staff was great others not so much.

Remodeling in the lobby. Room carpet was dirty and spotty. Did not want to take off my shoes. Hotel was OK.
