Holiday Inn Express & Suites JOHNSTOWN, an IHG Hotel

We were passing through and only stayed at the hotel for the night. The clerk and checkin was very nice. We even got a late check out which was extremely helpful getting all our kids showered before we hit the road again. The bed was very comfortable and we all slept well. The breakfast was great in the morning too.

Very clean and fresh.

The property was in good condition & a good location/safe. We were a little put off by the $5 parking fee since there was plenty & it was just a flat lot, adjacent to shops where there was no charge to park. There did not seem to be any recycling option for bottles, cans, paper, etc.

When I arrived the staff was very welcoming. They assigned me my room, but when I went in the room apparently hadn't been cleaned. I notified the front desk and they assigned me another room immediately. They said they were sorry for the mix-up. The food was good but I was expecting just scrambled eggs since I am a vegetarian. There were other options which were ok. All in all the stay was pleasant and would stay there again.

We were visiting for a funeral and so was a tough occasion. The hotel was one of the cleanest places that I’ve stayed in. The break fast was also good, very clean and well stocked with a friendly attendant.

Very nice room, pleasant staff, and good location. It was very noisy— I was awakened several times during the night—on a Saturday night, which was the only night I stayed.

Had a great stay at this hotel for the weekend visiting Johnstown, a very pretty mountain drive into the city. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, assisting with an error that I myself had made on the reservation so that I didn't have to change rooms halfway through my stay. Also might be the oddest thing I've praised a hotel for, but it was the best shower I've used in a hotel for a while: consistent water temp, good pressure, a showerhead with great dispersal of spray. Maybe it's weird but I loved this shower! Clean hotel, standard breakfast. I knew about the $5 parking fee ahead of time so that didn't surprise me even if I wish it wasn't there. Thank you for everything on this visit! Would definitely stay again if I visit Johnstown in the future.

I dont think the maid service clean our room prior to our arrival. There was a odor on my bed of dog or body odor. I ask to be moved to another room and was moved down the hall. This was my second stay at HIE in less then a week and had there not been another room i would to go somewhere else.

The decor was modern and the rooms had very beautiful, new white comforters. It was very lovely and new looking.
