Holiday Inn Express & Suites LACEY - OLYMPIA, an IHG Hotel

Fantastic hotel. It's on the south side of the I5 (the pubs and restaurants being a fifteen minute walk to the north side of the I5), so it's in a very quiet neighborhood. Immediate neighborhood includes City Hall and healthcare facilities. Hotel is spotless, staff are great. Room was a bit dated, but I think we got one that will be renovated soon (there were some carpet patches that are starting to lift in the middle of the room, the ceramic in the tub had some ornamental damage, etc), but it was clean and presentable and quiet. If you're not fancy folks and you're just looking for a clean, quiet room in a clean, quiet neighborhood, this is your place to stay in the capitol area.

I was in the area on family business. My room was as quiet as could be, considering it’s right next to I-5. A problem with the room heater wad attended to immediately, and staff inquired about it the next day to ensure all was well. The breakfast was great! I found it odd the entrance was at the rear of the building from the street, and that the front desk staff discouraged me from walking to any restaurant after dark. It seemed like a fine neighborhood, but what do I know?

My only complaint is that the thermostat had a hard time keeping the heat up to comfort levels. Then was too hot if I raised it up more. Was just hard to get the perfect mix but that is all. The room was just what I required.
