Holiday Inn Express & Suites LOUISVILLE DOWNTOWN, an IHG Hotel

I booked the room using the Expedia app and found that the hotel significantly overcharged me the quoted price. When I inquired about the discrepancy the general manager of the hotel said, “I will look into it and get back to you within 24 hours.” Never received that call - and after calling 3 more times, being told he’d call me back, and never hearing from him, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Very disappointed that a Holiday Inn Express would just choose to be unresponsive to an IHG member of 20 years.

Great hotel and hospitality but the area outside was very trashy.

Skittles was amazing at the front desk. I needed to end my visit sooner than expected and she made it happen along with a refund.

Very unsafe! I had to find a place to park in a garage door from the hotel @ night in the cold packing severe bags up & down stairs to & from a garage to the hotel. I witnessed one of the staff had his vehicle broken into. Him & the hotel guard were running around hysterically. I had trouble getting to my room in the elevator due to I couldn’t pack my key code to start the elevator with all my bags because the elevator didn’t work without a key code. It wouldn’t take me to my room. I ended up just leaving the hotel and going to a different hotel. It was terrible. I felt very unsafe the way everything was set up and everything that was going on. Not to mention what I already said about the parking garage. The price of this hotel was overrated for everything that happened here!

Good stay overall, but breakfast was not good. Asked for a city view and received a room facing the parking garage. Very clean though.

This is a true, five star hotel, and happy about the easy and quiet experience

Really nice rooms - clean, comfortable, spacious. This hotel had some extra safety features which were nice. Parking wasn't atrached to hotel, but still convenient. It was also within walking distance of what we came to town to see. There were only two towels in our room. (A pet peeve when you check in with 4 guests.) Also, "hot" breakfast was cold. Would stay here again.

My car got broken into, parking garage is not safe.

It was exactly what I was looking for.
