Holiday Inn Express & Suites RED BLUFF-SOUTH REDDING AREA, an IHG Hotel

Comfortable and convenient, breakfast was very convenient

Breakfast was horrible. The first day most of the breakfast items were out of service (pancake machine, juice machine) found mold on one of the bagels. Found black hair on bathroom towels. Bathroom door lock was broken so it locked us out of the bathroom twice. Notified management through hotels.com and survey requesting call back and got no return call. This establishment clearly does not care about their clientele.

We've stayed at this property multiple times as it is our halfway stop on the loooong road to visit our daughter in LA. Always pleased with staff and cleanliness and condition of the property. They are in the middle of remodeling the lobby area but that wasn't an inconvenience for us.

Property was under construction with excessive noise on floor above and toxic fumes in stair wells.

This place has a part that is still under construction, the room we stayed in was leaking from the window since it was raining, you can hear everything through the walls and at 4:30 am the room at the upper level from us had a kid running around and jumping off the bed for a couple hours, not letting us sleep at all.

Everything was good, except for some long dark hair in the tub/shower area. I let the front desk know.

Ive stayed here about 4x. I use this hotel as a stopping place before going over the Shasta pass (im not keen to drive the pass at night in winter). The area is a bit remote. It’s about a 10min drive to any restaurants. There is an AMPM quickie mart + gas station a 2min walk. Parking is good. Water is hot. The dog area is decent. I also feel okay being out at 3a if my dog needs to go out. I prefer this location instead of going up to Redding, which is a bit congested.

This hotel smelt awful. They were redoing the entrance of the hotel, no problem. When we entered in the back to go upstairs it smelt like old seafood. We got to our room on the second floor and it smelt so bad. We turned on the fan which we expected to make it smell better, the smell got worse and unbearable. We had to leave the hotel because of the smell.

Check in was perfect, thank you! But arguably one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Construction all over the hotel and the worst neighbors above....floors are so thin you can hear everything....STAY AWAY!

They we’re remodeling so it was kind of a mess. No Christmas decorations up. The bed was not comfortable, very hard, no soft top. The breakfast was pretty good. I do like the sink being in the bathroom, that way you can get ready and not wake up others.

I think the hotel is usually pretty good, but during my stay the lobby was under construction. Workers were sanding, panting, using all kinds of power tools, and dust was thick in the air coming into the lobby. I almost walked out, but didn't have time to find another place. Fortunately, my room upstairs was clean and you couldn't hear the construction noise.

I specifically chose this hotel because it had a hot tub/pool and a gym. At no point while making my reservation did they say this place was being remodeled and there was NO pool, NO hot tub and that it was being remodeled! Needless to say I was very disappointed when I got there and would have chose to stay somewhere else if I had not already paid. The staff was rude, unapologetic and gave me some bs about them 'updating their policies'. At the very least I would have liked to been compensated or comped in some way. It is also very noisy-freeway, main road and the next door neighbors tv. For the money, I would not recommend this place at all as Motel 6 would have given me the same thing but a smaller room!

Messy from remodeling and wish the pool was open but staff was great!!

Currently under construction other than that hotel is nice for the price.

The property was being remodeled. It should never have been open for business. Shame on Expedia for booking this hotel under these conditions. We will NEVER AGAIN USE Expedia to book a hotel.
