Holiday Inn Express & Suites SAN ANTONIO-AIRPORT NORTH, an IHG Hotel

For this property being a holiday inn i was dissapointed. The staff was borderline rude and had a attitude of indifference. Property was in need of reapir and deep cleaning. Furniture was dated and mis-matched. One piece of furniture was left up against the adjoining rooms door as if they felt unsafe or door did not lock between rooms and maintenance staff left it there. The tub had rust stains and door to restroom was warping at bottom. Wall paper was peeling in places and the vent fan would not turn on. Breakfast would have been ok but staff was unattentive to refill empty food trays. I will not plan to stay here again.

There was an ugly smell on the room once you open the room door: the bed sheets were with stains. We required a room change and ithey assigned us a different room.

Booked this location due to our vacation trip being 10 minutes away. Lots of restaurants close by as well as activities to do with the kids in the nearby area. A/C unit didn’t seem to work properly, thankfully the weather is cold outside. If it was summer time I could see this being a problem. The mini fridge wasn’t cold at all and a roach came and ran back into the hole where the TV wires came out from. Also the curtains were stained like someone committed suicide at the window while watching his wife cheat in the parking lot, which we got a nice view of. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff was awesome. But the room is dirty with cockroaches running around. Its obvious that they have a skeleton crew that is doing bare minimum in cleaning the rooms. The microwave works but needs to be unplugged to stop working. Clearly needing a replacement.

Location sends me back there from time to time. Each time I promise myself it will be the last time.

They requested me to pay $25 cash deposit so when I checked out they never got my money back then I call back to tell them to send the money back to me they told me they could not send the money back to me to me that's a scam if I pay cash or other method of payment I expect for you to give me my money back I've been trying to talk to the manager but they've been giving me the runaround so I'm really disappointed with this location I never got my $25 back.

I really liked the location. I did not enjoy the smell of the hallways; everything else was fine.

I’ve stayed in several Holiday Inn Express this was the worst one I have ever stayed in. Looks like it used to be a super 8 that was switched over to Holiday Inn Express. I killed a roach in my room Friday and Saturday morning (I have a video). I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN NOR WILL I SUGGEST TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!

Not up to holiday inn standards. This place had bugs, and the rooms and sheets were dirty. We checked in late and hotels were scarce the weekend we were there or we would have just checked-right out BUT made it work. They did provide replacement sheets if that is saying much. My wife was livid but we were only there for 8-9 hrs long enough to sleep. Breakfast bar was decent but Holiday Inn should take their name off this place or make a huge investment in bringing it up to the standards of other branded hotels

Property was nice, and staff extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel is dirty and no maid service. The bathroom is full of mildew and mold and the tub is stained and dirty. The staff is unpleasant and we ran out of TP. The front desk argues with me about getting extra TP and didn’t clean our rooms once in 4 days.

The one the my husband I always look forward to is having a nice breakfast. Breakfast was not like any other Holiday Inns breakfast we’ve had. It was not good

The bedroom carpets were dirty and smelled. The bathroom tub/shower was terrible , paint all over the place, tiles dirty and missing, missing tiles for vent/light. Breakfast was terrible

It has been quite a while since I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, but I chose it because of the immaculate cleanliness, courteous staff treatment, clean swimming pool and the help that I needed from the front desk to access all of my needs for the stay. I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed in what I found at this location. The person at the front desk began literally hollering at me stating that I did not have a reservation. I showed him my reservation confirmation on my iPhone but he said he could not do anything about it, nor would he help me until he had received the reservation. He said I needed to go online to contact Expedia and to call them and get it cleared. I did not have a phone number for Expedia and asked him, Jakes Parbhu, what their Phone number is. He repeated it to me, continuing to holler at me, and told me to call them at - 1-888-397-1786. After waiting about 10 minutes, while he repeatedly continued to holler at me, I spoke with the Expedia Agent Mr. Avxinau, whom I could hardly understand because of his very broken english, I discovered that my reservation was for the following day. I asked him if he would kindly change it to begin on the day of my arrival October 14, 2024. After about 15 minutes he finally made the change, but the desk Manager, Mr Jake Parbhu said he could not check me in until he had received the confirmation on his front desk app. So, I continued to wait until he finally hollered at me that he had received it.

Very easy check in and friendly staff

It's an old hotel close to the airport. Small pool and hot tub, snack area, laundry, overall decent. There's an old smell to it, but beds were comfy. Bring quarters for laundry there's no change machine and guy at desk doesn't have quarters. The hot tub was probably 80 degrees but I was glad because it was so hot out that I found it quiet refreshing. Staff there really great and friendly!
