Holiday Inn HOUSTON SW - SUGAR LAND AREA, an IHG Hotel

The experience while staying here was unbelievable. The hotel was in no condition to be open and I was not notified of it being in the middle of renovations. When we arrived the hotel looked deserted. The room had bugs, the water from the shower had to be ran for 10 minutes because it was black. There was a hole in the wall where the bathroom vent should be and the chair in the room was broken. Didn’t know until I fell out of it!! Refund you say? I couldn’t get one because I didn’t book with the hotel directly! I was stuck, disappointed and scared!

Staff was very professional and patience. They provide excellent directions for area shopping and return to airport.

Not clean there smoke smile in side the room

I checked out from this hotel in 1 hour. I wanted it to shower, but the water didn't work. It had a horrible smell in the room. AC in the room wasn't cooling properly. The lobby was very, very HOT. It seemed like the AC wasn't working. Very bad experience.

Unpleasant odor in lobby and elevator. Man at front desk was rude and unprofessional. Bathroom and shower not properly cleaned. Property is outdated and should just close until renovations are complete.

We had a bad experience at this location. Carpet smelled. Hooks in the bathroom were falling off. Bathroom Door would not lock.

Too much noisy from the air conditioner

Once arrived it was totally empty. Inside was nasty. Front desk agent were fine, rooms smelt like mold and weed. Hallways did as well. I felt unsafe so we left and checked in somewhere else.

Renovations are in process therefore no amenities are available. They do not tell you beforehand. Pool is green, Place is a disaster

During the check in I was told that the bar/dining area would be closed indefinitely along with the breakfast, gym and pools. Some of the buttons on the elevators were broken causing it to malfunction at times and take us to the wrong floor and or just not take us anywhere at all resulting in using the stairs (we were on the 4th floor and the stairs have zero A/C). Although I knew they weren’t included I think all rooms should have a fridge and microwave especially since there was no breakfast provided or any free drinks resulting in having to pay for the vending machine. There also was a panel in the shower that was broken and was popped out of place. Also I think there should be a small safe to put valuables in like firearms, jewelry, money, IDs, etc. Only things that were good were the staffs friendliness, check in and check out.

Checked us into a room a guest was already sleeping in. Had to go to front desk 3x from 6th floor with luggage in tow because my key wouldn’t work. Front desk attendant came up with master key only to find another guest was sleeping in the room. Ceiling in lobby is falling and tiles are coming up. I went to grab a hand towel In restroom and whole rack fell off the wall. Shower knob just spins. At one time probably a nice hotel…not so much now.

Above average comfort, cleanliness, services and house keeping. Awesome 👍
