Holiday Inn RALEIGH DOWNTOWN, an IHG Hotel

Great place

Our bathtub had brown stains all in it and constantly dripping water. The bathroom door would not close all the way and the door knob on the hallway door was broken. We did not say anything to management because we were only in town for one quick night. But the room should have never been rented like this, especially for the price. We refused to shower this morning.

A decent place in downtown.

It would be nice if the rooms had a coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge. I have come to expect that, since most other hotels do. The staff was excellent.

Disappointing stay. Visited Raleigh for one night, and check in was easy with a friendly receptionist. However, the property was not well maintained. The parking garage smelled like trash and vomit. Only one elevator was functioning and when I went to use the stairs, I was harassed by hotel staff. The stairway had no lights. The other elevator that was functioning was the staff elevator but wasn't marked so when I went to the lobby, I had to pass through housekeeping. Definitely not worth the price, would not recommend staying here.

It was a nice room. I was a little surprised that the TV did not have cable.

Stinky

hotel needs major repairs , smells out and the elevator ( only one worked ) horrible wait. The only good thing about this hotel was the amazing staff.

It needs to be updated, only 1 elevator working, cold breakfast.

False advertisement. Talked about rooftop bar and restaurant that has been closed. The whole hotel including the rooms smelled like mold. Very outdated. Only one elevator working. Would not stay again or recommend. Way too expensive for what it is.

Room smelled. Outside room door handle was falling off.

This property is quite dirty and poorly maintained. When we arrived there was half a bagel lying at the entrance.A day later it was still there so I kicked it aside out of frustration. The room was clean when we arrived but grout stained in the bathroom and other scrapes and grungy marks all over. We stayed two nights and there was no service to the room the entire time. No change of bedding or towels or any tidying up of any kind. There was one half-empty shampoo container and one small soap bar. For $250 per night we expect a lot better. Last time we use Holiday Inn and last time we use Expedia since you do not appear to rate the hotels you offer. The only upside was the receptionist Joan who greeted us with a joyous smile and handled the registration with grace. The rest of the staff was surly and uncommunicative.

The lamp on one nightstand could not be plugged due to the short cord… the other lamp plug for cell charger would not work… the bathroom was WAY too small to turn around in… and the TV just went completely out during a rain…never using Holiday Inn Downtown Raleigh again.

The bathroom wasn't cleaned well. The bathroom was so small we could hardly turn around in it. No microwave in the rooms. Everthing was out dated in the room with the exception of the TV. However the only good thing was the comfort of the beds. Overall i was disappointed for the price of this room
