This was my first time staying in a hostel and it was great! It was conveniently close to everything and I even found out about other things like the Fremont Sunday market which was a blast. Chris made check in super easy, and there’s lots of street parking nearby (Free at night and on Sundays). Did I mention how cute the place was?! I would def stay here again.
First time staying at Hotel Hotel Hostel. Location cannot be beat. Walking distance to everything including loads of restaurant options. The Burke Gilman trail is right there if you’re the type who likes to go for an early morning walk or ride. The nearby PCC market provides ample food options if you’re cooking for a party of one.
The hostel is the most boutique hostel I have experienced. I had a private room with a sink, mini fridge and electric tea kettle. I visited in January and the room was a bit chilly, but I had supplemented with a travel blanket and was quite comfortable. The beds are clean and simple.
The kitchen was well appointed with cookware, prep space and dishes. The shared bathrooms were sparkling clean with plenty of hot water to unwind from a long day. Fremont is an active neighborhood with lots of visitors evenings and weekends, but after about 1030pm it clears out making for easy sleeping.
There is free street parking from 8pm-8am, never had a problem finding a spot, but I also didn’t need to park there during the day.
I have already booked a room for my next visit to Seattle.
I really enjoy the hostel experience, it’s lovely to have access to a communal kitchen and the bathroom they were very nice. Additionally, there were extra towels, and blankets at the front desk, which was extremely accessible to guests. The only thing worth noting would be that the Thai place downstairs is very busy and can be loud, there were also earplugs at the front desk, which I definitely used to fall asleep! Silent after 10 pm 😀
