Hotel Indigo OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA, an IHG Hotel

Awesome location

We were only there for one night but the staff was excellent and the hotel is right on the water and close to many excellent restaurants and shops ! Definitely would recommend!

The stay was wonderful. Stephan went out of his way to make it such a pleasurable experience - as did Nigel - and the room and view was beautiful. Looking forward to coming back.

Convenient to dining

Overall my stay at Hotel Indigo Alexandria was great. The room was clean and cozy and the staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciated the little perks like a discount at the cafe across the street and a nightly credit towards snacks at the hotel shop. My only issue with my stay was with the size of the parking accomodations. Parking our 4 door sedan led to some tight fits and needing to squeeze carefully out of the car as a small person. Parking attendants did their best to assist but garage limitations made parking a little bit stressful. Not enough to deter me from returning to that was overwhelmingly a great stay but good to note.

Hotel was in a great location , but you can hear street noise. Hotel does not have bath tubs at all which was disappointing. The smart tv wasn’t working and they weren’t able to fix it for my stay. Parking is compensated which is helpful.

Perfect location in Alexandria! We had a view of the river which was lovely. And our room was decorated very nicely. Their restaurant Hummingbird had great service and food! Really enjoyed the hotel.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are incredible. Carlos in particular was a gem! The bed and pillows are so comfortable. We are rather picky and were very pleased!

Great stay in old town

This was an excellent Facility. It is conveniently located close to the river, restaurants, and shopping. Staff was very helpful. We pre-prayed our breakfast and it was excellent. We had a table looking out to the river with an excellent view.

This property is conveniently located and very walkable. Staff were polite and professional.

Very nice hotel

Cute little hotel in a beautiful area

Junk fees. They force you to pay $25 a day for the snack bar even if you don’t want it and for a cafe across the street. Then tax you on all of that too.

We booked a night for the family to celebrate New Year’s Eve. When we arrived at 3pm we were told there was a power outage. No fault of the hotel. Apparently someone triggered it by releasing a balloon onto a power line and causing a short. Due to the power outage they had to hand write the check-in process and send a staff member to open doors for customers. Unfortunately this lasted for quite a while as we waited for the power company to restore service. We stepped out for a while and returned around 530p when everything was completely dark in the hotel. And they had to escort us around with a flash light. Finally power was restored a little after 6pm. What a relief!! And reminder of HOW much we rely on electricity! Lol. The kids were forced to conserve energy on their phones and electronic devices because we didn’t know when we would get it back. Throughout the whole ordeal all the staff were polite and helpful. They ended up comping us our hotel garage parking fee which was an appreciated gesture. We would definitely recommend this hotel for how they handled a difficult situation that was out of their hands and seem to really care about their customers.

Hotel is not that nice. Very limited help always having to wait. Noisy room near the gym and incident with request for help which didn’t turn well. Also called 2 days later for a forgotten item for which they said they would call back and never did. Do not recommend

Great place to stay on the waterfront in historic old town Alexandria. Only complaint os difficult remote controls for TV.

Great location

It was a nice hotel; clean convenient. I didn't like that there was no coffee in the lobby in the morning and had to pay $5 a cup for self serve coffee.
