I booked this hotel while driving into a snow storm. I was fortunate to find this beautiful location. The staff was great! Clearly not expecting the amount of people descending on them but they handled everything very well. The room my daughter and I had was perfect! Clean, warm and beautifully decorated. The shower was great and there were plenty of towels and toiletries.
I do wish there were onsite food options but there were several options within walking distance. We would stay there again if we were ever in the area again.

The only thing better than beating Iowa State at home was sleeping on those beds afterwards. So comfortable. We will be back!

It's a nice remodeled hotel. But when we arrived on Friday l the sidewalk in front of the hotel was full of ice and slush. So much that it was hard to get out of our car. How hard would it be to shovel and clean it for incoming guests?

Hotel is 100 years old. Rooms were updated in 2020. They did a great job pf retaining the character of the 1920's but upgrading the rooms, lobby, and bar with more modern conveniences.

Beautiful hotel with attractively decorated rooms. Spacious entry and a comfortable and inviting lounge. The neighborhood is a bit desolate in the evening, but restaurants and coffee shops are a fairly short distance away.

Very old time looking hotel in the heart or a college town. Check in was smooth and the room was clean and spacious and completely different versus a normal hotel room we’ve all come accustomed too.
Only issue was upon reviewing my bill after checkout there was a $50 incidentals charge on top of the room charge that was never explained. Once you check out and the room is good they reverse it but it take 3-5 business days to be refunded.
