Everything was ok. Service at reception was poor, and the personell were close to rude. Ok room, poor lightning. Not sound proof at all, hard to sleep because of all the other guests in other rooms. Could hear their conversation clearly.

Nice location and layout. Room choices were limited, e.g. small room on river view. Wanted larger room w river view. None appeared on website. Food was good. Hall noise a bit too loud.

The parking is what got me. There is no other choice than valet at the property - which is $50/night. That is a little extreme, IMO. You can park "across the street" in the parking garage for $25/night but who wants to do that? Overall the place is nice with a great view.

its an Atrium hotel and they allow Dogs. Some Dogs barked in the lobby and you can hear it in your room.

Hyatt at this location is dated. The hi class once held is gone. I have had better stay at Holiday Inn. The price for this mediocre hotel is beyond not worth it. The best is their web site says “Pet Friendly” and charge $150!!!!! We had spent a few days at the near by JW Marriott and what a difference at similar pricing, no comparison. Customer service, the facilities at the Recency has no comparison. I reluctantly give the Hyatt -0- stars and will not stay at the regency again.

We came to town to go to an oyster roast at the gray restaurant on MLK Boulevard. We had a wonderful time at the oyster roast.
I believe an upscale hotel such as this people shouldn’t have to pay so much for like $30 for a breakfast a buffet breakfast, $50 for overnight parking. The lobby coffee was only served for one hour from 8 o’clock to 9:00 AM l! such a beautiful hotel, upscale - why are you charging your customers so much for things that should be at a low cost or really for free?
