I love this family-friendly place! When we checked in, the employee at the front desk offered us the option to upgrade to a suite. We paid a little extra for the junior suite, and it was absolutely worth it. There was plenty of space for our kids to play, and the beautiful view of San Francisco was a bonus. One interesting feature of the room was the large windows in the bathroom.
After check-in, the employee gave our kids coloring books and a small stuffed seal, which made them very happy. I honestly didn't expect that!
We ordered food from the different restaurants on-site, and the food was great!
We would definitely come here again!

The entire staff was amazing! I would give the customer service 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend the Intercontinental!

my room was really dirty, I asked to clean it up, but again they only made my bed , but didn't clean the floor.... Moreover, in my room there were no essential things that should be... slippers, water etc... the telephone didn't work either.... the staff need to be more polite....

The only real complaint I had was the shower. You could fix your water. Then it would go to freezing cold and then burning hot. The whole time you’re in the shower you are adjusting the water. Very aggravating!

One thing shocked me. The fridge in room didn’t seem to work. I asked and they told me if I wanted to use it, the charge would be $30/night.

The stay wasn't awful overall. However, it could be improved in several ways. Most of the pillows smelled really bad. Also, there were some black stains near the shower door. Moreover, the breakfast buffet didn't have many options or beverages. We had to wait a long time for a coffee refill. There was no tea.
When we arrived and when we were leaving, none of them staff offered any help with our heavy baggage.
Again, the stay wasn't awful but there was a lot of room for improvement.

What I liked was the bed and bedding. The cleaning staff was excellent. The room was spacious. We would have appreciated a better refrigerator as we have health issues and need fridge space.
The only thing we didn’t like was when they asked for our room number when we ate in the cafe and we paid for our meals we were still charged meals to the room.

This hotel met and exceeded all my expectations. The staff is extremely helpful and professional. Just be aware that downtown san fransisco can be a little dodgy when you go past 5th street.
