InterContinental Hotels WASHINGTON D.C. - THE WHARF, an IHG Hotel

Unbelievable service by ALL staff the entire stay.

We arrived early hoping for an early check in but not only did get in early but were offered a room upgrade. The hotel was very pleasant, we didn’t use the dining facilities as we had a reservation for the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant which was in walking distance. The trip was to celebrate a significant birthday and on the second day we visited the Spy museum which is also within walking distance.

Absolutely top-notch stay on "The Wharf" in DC. I couldn't be happier with the excellent service and accomodations. I'll definitely stay here whenever I come to DC.

Was a wonderful stay

The problem Is nobody answered the phone for at least 10 minutes i touched every button and nobody had to call to emergency happened twice Beds are exfremely firm uncomfortable and have no mattress toppers

The property is gorgeous, strategically located close to everything and a beautiful view of the marina from the tenth floor. Only one complaint we dined in the restaurant. The food took an incredibly longer than usual time to arrive at our table. The saving grace was the food was excellent and that made things right. I really can’t blame the waiter. I just believe they were short staffed and they were probably short staffed in the kitchen as well . The front desk staff was professional as well as the valet &doorman . Highly recommend this hotel, but don’t go and get a meal unless you have a minimum of two hours to kill

Very nice accomodations and excellent service. Only shortfall was no food availability after 10pm but rooms had light snacks and drinks. Complimentary water in lobby was appreciated.

I was reimbursed for my stay which was very kind however for a 5 Star Hotel this is lacking. Day one electric went off in the room on two separate occasions. The toilet flush also did not function correctly. You pay for breakfast as part of the deal of the hotel. Laundry arrived back late, meaning my partner had to wear dirty clothes until the late laundry arrived. We tried ringing for room service. No answer, then tried the front desk, again no answer. We attempted for over 1 hour on New Year’s Eve and neither picked up. On arrival I asked are there any hidden fees I need to be aware of? I was informed no, yet they placed on an amenity fee of $30 per day amounting to $270 for our stay. This was removed when I complained and I was reimbursed for the troubles with the room however for a Hotel with such good standing it spoiled a holiday for partner and I

Great property and staff

However it was not a 5 stars hotel like expedia describes, stay was great.

Impeccable customer service. Beautiful property and views of the Potomac River from the room. The hotel is on restaurant row. I recommend walking the wharf just outside the hotel. Also many major sights of interest in DC are nearby this hotel. We will cherish these memories.

The staff was very accommodating. They did what was necessary to ensure every need was met.

We had a great experience at the Inter Continental. The location was great. We walked to the National Mall, had great food and coffee right outside, and could see the both the Capital building and the wharf from our room. The room was excellent, the beds were comfy, and the bathroom is probably the best.

The room is nice except the service need to be improved. I had to wait for 15 minutes for front disc to pick up the call for a few times. Also,

Perfect place to stay

The property was lovely, clean and conveniently located near restaurants and shops. We had a great time ice skating and making s’mores. There are many restaurants around and lots to do around the wharf. Everything was conveniently located and we were able to get around easily with Ubers etc.
