Really nice place in a quiet location

Island Goode’s was excellent for us:)). Lovely grounds, good view, nice accommodating hosts, clean comfortable room(Hilo bay room). Bed is sleep number-very nice:) Breakfast is not included when booked through site other than their own but coffee can be made in room. Island is tropical and you will have beautiful bird and frog sounds day and nite. Bring earplugs if sensitive! Close to Hilo waterfalls and other Activities. NO children but we knew that. We enjoyed our stay in the property. We especially enjoyed visiting with the donkeys and feeding them. The hot tub was nice to relax in at the end of the day.

The property was very nice and extremely clean.

The property owners were absolutely wonderful to my husband and myself. We were there celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary and they actually cut a bouquet of fresh flowers to give to us as a celebratory gift. Absolutely stunning. Too bad we couldn’t bring it back to the mainland. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy hotel. The fact that no children are allowed makes it even better. It’s a guaranteed quiet spot for people who are wanting to get away together in the peace and quiet.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The property is very secluded, and we loved feeling like we were in the rainforest (especially at night with all of the singing frogs). The hosts were extremely kind and accommodating. Honestly one of the best stays we’ve had in recent years!

Goode’s was truly an awesome place to stay. The facility is beautiful inside and out. It is solar powered. The host and hostess are gracious. The view of Hilo Bay is special. There is also a view of Maura Kea a short walk up the road. I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates grace and beauty.

The Goode's have a lovely compound just north of Hilo. Its close to the highway, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. They have a handful of various rooms, that are tastefully decorated with nice little touches throughout. Its like visiting your friends/family in the country, but the accommodations are classy and clean, and the surrounding property is well maintained and beautiful. You get a comfortable bed, lots of room, and nice furniture inside the room. Also, there is comfortable chairs, hammocks, and loungers to relax under the shade on the porch in front of each room. They owners grow lots of fruit trees and share their fruit with their guests. They are very responsive and take a genuine interest in your comfort and happiness while in their care. But they also give the guest plenty of space and privacy. But they are there anytime you need them, and are very friendly and nice people! Its not cheap, but its not expensive. It IS good value. Also, if you are looking for a longer stay, call Garvin, and he can offer a good rate on extended stays, for travellers and people in the Hilo area there on business.

I liked that they had dishes and cutlery to go with the microwave, fridge, kettle coffee machine and electric kettle. The room was well decorated and furnished. They even included sunscreen, bug spray and umbrellas (blow dryer as well).

I loved that it was very “ homey” and that they provided all the commodities we needed. Staff were very friendly. My only comment would be , needs more lighting at night by the driveway. Otherwise , we had a wonderful stay.

We liked being able to grab fruit right from the trees. Hot tub overlooks the bay.
