Check-in smooth. Vallet parking easy and around $60 Inc tax. Room reasonable size, bathroom a little small. Bit loud in the hallway. Pool was great. Beach access nice although only two beds included, if you want umbrella extra $25. Friendly staff. Check-out was easy.

First and foremost: The hotel is under renovation, and this wasn’t mentioned during booking. We arrived with our dog and were automatically placed in a building under renovation. We were told the only inconvenience would be plastic sheeting in the hallways, but that was untrue. Rooms nearby were actively being worked on, with constant noise, dirt, and workers everywhere. Conversations from the workers were audible in the rooms due to poor soundproofing. We asked to be moved to a quieter area, and the manager accommodated us. However, it’s clear they default to placing guests in the renovation zone unless complaints are made. Second: The room conditions were terrible—old, scratched furniture, rust in the bathroom, and filthy windows with visible grime on the inside. Third: Valet parking is the only option, and my car was returned with a large scratch on the bumper, which they didn’t acknowledge until I pointed it out. Fourth: A $900 deposit per room was charged without prior notice, and days after checkout, it hasn’t been refunded. Fifth: The bed was awful. The mattress was so soft it felt like sleeping in a triangle, and I couldn’t get a full night’s sleep. In summary: For the price, this hotel was a disappointment. It felt like a week of suffering instead of relaxation. Better transparency and maintenance are needed. Instead of hiding issues or focusing on cosmetic updates, the hotel should invest in furniture replacements and basic cleanliness.

Far too expensive for the value it offers. Location 5* Interior 3*. Rooms 3*. Bathrooms 2*. Service 3*. No sign of a General Manager. Not made to feel special. Basin and bathtub had stains. Phone was broken. Housekeeping staff don’t understand any English. Not planning to return to this hotel.

Outside the hotel is beautiful (pool, beach and dining). Inside the rooms are dated, would recommend getting rid of the older bathtubs and replacing with showers.

Staff isnt very helpful, probably due to uninspiring workcondition. But nevertheless not living up to the picture they are trying to Sell. There also was a wrong firealarm for at least 4 times in a row in the middle of the Night - which can Happen, of course- but no attempt at apologizing or offering a Little something to make up for the inconvenience. One day roomservice didnt Show up at all. These are all things that i wouldnt bother at some cheap Place- but this Place is pretending to be high class, is pricing highclass and simply doesnt deliver high class. It was disappointing.

From the outside, the property looks good. But once your inside, the first thing that hits you are the lights, which are dingy and barely light the foyer & it smells like urine. The rooms: they are too small and, well, they have carpet in them, so the rooms are smelly & stuffy, the a/c cannot compete with it because God knows whats still lingering in them, i.e., bodily fluids, etc. The bathroom is way to small & not functional. Upon check-in they claim they give "complimentary coffee & tea, and fruits" in the morning and at dinnertime they give "complimentary wine and appetizers". But at dinnertime there was no appetizers and when I checked out they charged me "resort fees" which was $43/day when I asked what that entailed, they told me it included the "complimentary" coffee & tea & wine, peehaps their not aware of what "complimentary " means... Save your money and time, book another hotel.

The property is undergoing renovations, which takes away from its appeal. Outside of that, great location and great set up.

I enjoyed my stay at the Kimpton Surfcomber. The only thing was that they are undergoing construction on the 1st floor and it can be loud. They need to make the walls more soundproof because you can hear people talking outside when they walk by. Overall the staff was friendly and everything was walkable and convenient if you don’t want to go too far from South Beach

Location. Well maintained. Great staff and facilities for guests. Parking a bit inconvenient. 30 min to get car, which you are told. Food overpriced. But overall a great experience for us.

Great service, the entire staff were friendly and helpful! The pool area and beach were beautiful. They even put a towel to cover the chairs on for you. Lots of restaurants and shopping to walk to. The rooms themselves were average - but they were clean and the beds were comfy. Another nice touch was the coffee bar they had out in the morning. We will be back!
