My sister and I came to San Diego to visit our Father's grave for his birthday. I chose the Kings Inn based off positive reviews and location.
The rooms are retro chic and comfortable. We stayed in room 231 and it was nice and quiet. Everything is close by, including the freeway and a ootbof shopping and restaurants.
We were Not disappointed. We loved everything from our check in experience to check out. The Waffle Spot was amazing. I had the Banana walnut waffle (see photo) abdvitcwas Delish. My sister ordered the blueberry waffle and it was also delicious.
We dined at Amigo Spot Mexican restaurant and again we loved the food, service and drinks. Amaro, at the bar, was very nice and professional. He made a delicious Cadillac margarita.
We will be back for another stay. I plan to bring my husband next.

The stay here was ok. Clean rooms. Good size Tv. Close to restaurant. Bad was the bed, hard as sleeping on the floor. No ice machine was broken and it is not convenient at all. Over all ok stay.

It was average. The staff was friendly. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the had one. You have to pay for parking in their lot which I thought was a rip off. I have stayed at many different types of places this place wasn't special and had no appeal to make me stay here in the future. It was more of a motel style.

Room was welcoming, light and airy. Plenty of lighting. USB ports on bedside tables and lamps. Bathroom was clean with plenty of lighting and a quiet fan which was appreciated. Bed was firm and quite comfortable. We'll be back. Truly enjoyed our stay!

Great experience. The staff was super nice. My kids were so happy with the waffle spot that is connected to the hotel. Thank you for everything. The pool and hot tub were great! Parking is easy. We evacuated LA because of the fires and we felt the love in San Diego!

What a neat hotel ! Beautiful retro vibe in a modern setting. Pool area was beautiful and spacious. Waffle Spot for breakfast was absolutely deliciois. What a great find!

I could see daylight around the door frame. People fighting in next room were very loud and easily heard. As soon as the door opens you are in the bathroom.
The bed was comfortable. The room was well worn but clean.

Cute place to stay for our one night stay before flying out the next day. Enjoyed dinner at the Mexican restaurant at the hotel. Food and drinks were delicious. Don’t get to try the waffle restaurant due to early flight next morning. Clean rooms.
