Front desk staff was wonderful. Enjoyed the lake views. Loved the live band!

This was a nice place to stay to be near Salem, but not in the craziness of it.

The staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was very clean and updates had been made. The breakfast was excellent and unexpected.

We showed up 10 minutes early and he charges a $25 early Check fee we asked for extra pillows and the guy at the front desk gave us an attitude about it The air condition is stopped working throughout the night sweltering in our room would not recommend

Sketchy neighborhood, furnitures are old, cleanliness was 2-3 out of 5, towels etc, bed sheet was clean, hotel is 30-40 mins from downtown Boston, amazing lakeview just by the lake but I didn’t get a room with a view it was seeing the parking lot, price is much 70% lower than what is available in Boston downtown.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but the hotel could use updating.

The location is excellent, especially if you want to go for a 5k walk around the lake, as I did after a very long day driving. The hotel has its charms but the rooms need some attention. Using bedspreads just doesn't give a good, clean vibe (would love to see them switch to duvets with removable covers that are changed like the sheets). The showerhead was loose from the wall and the tv reception was giving me memories of a rural area in the 1970s. The people working there were wonderful and it was quiet. Would just appreciate a few upgrades.

They have a great bar on site and the facility is right next to the lake. Disappointed that there was no breakfast the next morning due to unforseen circumstances.

No elevator and ice only only 2nd floor. Managed to get room on first floor but tub bottom had no porcelain/paint and room was lacking in cleanliness and needs updated. Staff was friendly and helpful but management needs ice on 1st floor and to update and ask during reservation process if there are accessibility issues. I have pics of the tub if needed to verify my comments.

The staff were friendly and offered good service. Unfortunately that doesn’t compensate for the shockung state of the room we had; no match for the pictures. The carpet is really worn and badly stained. The power outlet on the headboard is loose and dangerous. There are coat-hangers, but there is nowhere to hang them. The included breakfast was average and simply not available on Mondays

Staff very friendly, complimentary breakfast always nice, rooms are like your average small town motel.

Literally the worst hotel I’ve stayed in 20 years. The staff was yelling and laughing at 1:30 in the morning and we had look out our door at the person who seemed to be an employee… That only worked for a little bit and then we had to call the front desk who said they would have to talk to that person telling me that it was an employee. The guests were yelling and laughing at 6 AM in the morning on a Sunday, the property easily has not been updated in 20 years is old with buckled ceilings and mold around the mirrors. The continental breakfast was set up like it was at a campground with paper plates, tiny cups, that you use to rinse out your mouth for drinking cups ,dinning room was dirty and didn’t have much variety . there were few modern amenities and cheep little hair and skin products .Outside of the hotel looked like a section 8 motel. For a hotel charging over $400 per night ..I don’t know how they have the Gaul . As an Air b&b owner my property is 100 times better ,clean, in a Beautiful high-end neighborhood for half the price.
