Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for exploring Charleston, with many attractions within walking distance. We requested a quiet room and stayed on the 6th floor, not facing the road, and away from the elevator. Curiously though, there was a constant 50 db mechanical hum, occasionally accompanied by a high pitched whine, throughout our stay. Also,
a surprising number of dogs were staying at the hotel, so keep that in mind when you book.

My husband & I just went to Charleston for couple days. To be greeted at the hotel with friendliness & champagne was lovely. We loved everything about this hotel. Charming, quiet, clean & the staff continually checking on our visit. The guitar /singer in the hotel bar was fabulous. Will definitely be back to stay again. Centrally located for walking everywhere.

Great hotel! Location is perfect, property is beautiful. My only complaint is that when we checked in, we were given our keys and when we walked in our room - someone else's things were already in there. We were given another room and many apologies which is great, mistakes happen but the security issue that this causes concerns me and we are women traveling alone.

We have stayed in this hotel many times thru the years…love everything about it with one exception. The glass barn door in the bathroom is very poor! It provides very little privacy, light shines thru it at night, very noisy. We would love ti see this change.
