My Place Hotel - Sioux Falls, SD

The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and our stay was great!

Recliners in most rooms. This is where I sleep. This has been true in all the "My Place" hotels.

IT appears to be recently refinished. Very clean and nice condition.

I booked a room at this location and the staff couldn’t fix the dates on the reservation. I was told it was a computer issue and had to contact Expedia to fix. I can’t believe in 2024 common sense is no longer. The room was nice but very over priced. Would not stay on any affiliated properties by this company.

I left my curling iron in the room and they wouldnt check to see if it was turned in!!!!

This was the first time I’ve stayed at a “My Place” hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming; my room was clean and spacious; the bed was very comfortable; and the hotel was quiet. I will definitely choose this location again.

When I booked my room, I requested a door on the ground floor near an exit, so that I could get out very early in the morning. I was there for a one day art show where set up started early in the morning before sunrise, and teardown was that same evening. So I needed to be able to get my things in and out to my vehicle quickly and easily. I was given a room at the end of the hallway, as far away from the lobby as possible, and the door that my room was next to had construction going on outside of it. So I couldn’t use that door… it was all blocked off with tape, construction equipment, and vehicles. So much for my request. The room needed some repairs, and I can tell the property has been used hard without adequate upkeep. I doubt I would book a room here again. The staff also thought it was ok to stand right outside the front door and smoke while people were entering and exiting. Cigarette smoke makes my throat sore and gives me a headache. Not impressed.

Relatively quiet

Checked in and was assigned to a room. Walked in and bed wasnt made, bedding was still in chair. Went back and was assigned to a new room. Went to bed and sheets had old blood on them and shower had hair in it. Friendly staff but room was gross.

Overall the property and its staff were very good. Location was nice that it was close to many amenities but off the beaten path so the traffic was light. The only improvement I would suggest is figure a way to get the odor out of the room. Even though it is a smoke free property it was pretty obvious people would go outside and smoke and the odor would track back in with them. Not an easy problem to solve. What the room smelled like was the lingering odor of smoking with air freshener spayed over it. Maybe some more regulate deep cleaning to remove the odors may help mitigate or possibly air purifiers. Just some ideas. Other than that enjoyed the stay. Thanks.

My Place is safe and affordable no matter what location you pick.

Nice clean quiet room!

We had a great time. The room was clean. Bathroom was clean and the other attendees were nice and quiet no loud noises at the time we were there. The only negative I could give to this place was there was no continental breakfast offered. However, they did provide a small convenience store with breakfast options to purchase. Hotel is pet friendly and smoke free win win.
