Pacific Edge Hotel

This is a glorified motel. run down even the updated rooms are still just not great. There is no water bottle provided in the room and the water for sale in the lobby was $10! just ridiculous. BUT nothing beats this location, right on the beach, and walking distance to town. The valet service attendants were amazing, but for this high price, I would spend a little more and stay somewhere nice.

First time at the edge. Water pressure was so low in the shower i had to take a bath.

Too old needs a renovation.

My arrival was perfect, and the gentleman who checked me in was exceedingly kind. However, since the telephone was not functioning and the hotel wished to send someone to my room to repair it, I politely declined out of consideration for my family's comfort. Shouldve worked upon arrival. We had breakfast at the Deck and requested a slightly later checkout time, but the hotel refused due to noise complaints. They should have come to my room to inform me, considering my phone was not working.. My family and I hurried back to our room, aware that we had 30 minutes until checkout. To our surprise, we found our keys had been locked. Went to the front desk, staff treated my family like hoodlums, and even yelled at my kids just because they were vocal about us still having time to check out. They checked me out and charged my card before I requested it, even though I still had time. We waited almost 30 minutes to return to our room to collect our belongings. The front desk attendant, after giving me another key, threatened to charge me for another night if we weren't out within 15 minutes, causing us significant stress. Because I had my children with me, I had to hurry, as we needed to go home to prepare for our vacation later that night. I am a busy travel nurse, which explains the delay in leaving this review, which I will also post on other platforms.

Me and my daughter been coming here since she was a baby. We love it here. Great service and hospitality.

We had a great time in area the beach and fires in the area. The Taco stand restaurant was great loved the Tacos. The room was very old fashioned and need updating; the carpet was old and faded, the kitchen draws were just painted over with white paint to look new but was not and was some of them were stuck shut had to pull hard, the bathroom was very small no matter how I tried I kept hitting the wall when I came out of shower and had to dry myself off. Side and toilet was 3ft from the wall. The last thing I did not like was the breakfast burritos with potatoes, they were bland no salt or pepper added and potatoes were boils not fried. When we call to make another with added season and salt they said they can’t do that because it’s pre-made. They there was the velvet we didn’t used but they try to charge us for $45 lol no thank you that too much.

Nice beach feel to the place, and easy beach access. The only drawback was paper thin walls, so earplugs were helpful.

Property location is great, everything is accessible restaurant, beach, grocery store , shopping, entertainment and parking but no self parking. Only valet and it’s just a pain of the butt to keep dropping the car for parking and tipping everytime u get the car. The building is old and I think needs some basic maintenance but in general they are great.

I was happy because the balcony had an ocean view despite them telling us over the phone that our unit in the particular building will never have an ocean view!!!

There was some construction going on, and the room itself wasn’t in the greatest condition. But overall , it was ok

The room was awesome, we could hear the waves even with the windows and doors closed. We went down to The Deck for dinner and the bar service was friendly and easy. Overall, great stay with the only a couple of complaints. One being that there was no toaster or microwave in the room as shown in the photos and we would have to go to the main building lobby to heat food. The second being that the shower had a high pitch screech when being used.

Valet price is ridiculous and they over charge for “resort amenities”. Took a day for them to get me towels. The staff are nice. The African American man working the front desk was amazing and very nice and attentive. Valet staff were great as well. The TV needs to be updated in the room and WiFi is horrible and rarely connects.

Location is great. Staff is very friendly. Bathtub does not drain. Fixtures are old. Curtains are stained. It is not easy to figure out how to get the TV to work.

Very nice place.

The concierge said the Expedia reservation did not interface with their system and therefore did not honor the rates listed by Expedia. Fees and daily rate were higher than expected. Even though I could show proof of the confirmation from Expedia and itinerary information.
