Quality Inn at Collins Road - Cedar Rapids

Place was very good

Obvious staff shortage , very kind bathroom so crowded and toilet so Low that I was afraid .hotel obviously an attempt to fix and expand an out moded facility. Really not acceptable for elderly or physically impaired . Front desk staff very gracious and helpful , but have very little to work with.

This property was horrendous. We get there and we are told there’s $100 deposit which we were not aware of in the beginning. We would have booked somewhere else. A neighboring hotel only had a deposit of $50. The front desk receptionist got an attitude with me and finally gave us our keys and when we walked in our room it reeked of cigarette smoke, I went looking around at the room and taking pictures of things that were not up to par and I got at least 15 pictures. The area above the sink is chipping away and dirty, the carpet right in the doorway is ripped up like a dog torrent, the metal inside the microwave is chipping away which can’t be sanitary or safe, there’s obvious water damage in the bathroom, on the lampshade, and on the bed frames. One of the bed frames was even cracked. The frame was sticking so far out on one of the beds that I hit my ankle and the other frame was being held together or something by duct tape. The office chair had a big rip in the seat, there was a dust literally everywhere in the room, especially on the vent in the bathroom. The sink had a bunch of black nasty stuff in it. There was a brown substance right above the toilet paper dispenser and on the dresser in the room itself. There was a hole kicked into the bathroom door at some point in time which was patched up poorly. We also found a squished cigarette butt and a ton of crumbs shoved towards the head of the bed tucked by the wall. The breakfast Was mediocre. All in all this was horrible

Microwaveable Breakfast Burritos were tasty.

Staff was very nice. Place was exactly what we needed. Decent place to stay the night.

Good for cost. Needs some maintenance of the facilities. Smoke detector hanging from ceiling by wires. Light fixture cover in bathroom hanging on only by 1 screw.

No one was at the front desk when checking out. Rang the bell multiple times to notify someone (as instructed) with no response. I had to go to the breakfast area to get them.

Greatvplace to stay

At 3 am there was a group of people in the next roo that were loud and partying loudly. They must have come from a bar and planned to continue the party at the motel. I had to call the front desk from my cell phone because the phone in the room wasn't working

While the room was older and could use some repair and renovation, it was clean, had really comfortable beds, had great water pressure, and friendly and helpful staff.

In Cedar Rapids for a family event. The Quality Inn was just what we needed, a cozy clean bed at an affordable price.

Room was clean but seemed damp.Staff was helpful and courteous.

Was under construction, room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator!

Easy access to the city from hotel. Near many dining, shopping and entertainment

We were bringing our daughter back to college. The bed was comfortable. I was given an accessible room which is what my wife needed. The hotel could be upgraded to provide n elevator for Persons of Disabilities. It was a little difficult to walk the stairs, however, there are only two floors. The hotel gave us a room that was near the stairs. We have stayed here before, so we went back knowing this. The hotel clerk found that we had two reservations. She gave us the information to get one canceled.When they contacted from Expedia, they quickly agreed to cancel the 2nd reservation. We were not charged. The hotel is under new management as well.

Good location but furniture in the room was falling apart . The bed you sat on and the other side flipped up . Mattress and pillows super broken down. The wood furniture was rotted and falling apart from moisture. Not the cleanest. Breakbar was not up to par if other choice hotels.

Sad to say it was very unsatisfactory. The most important area of concern was that housekeeping did not lock door after going thru. We came back after veing out and walk up to a door thay opened right up no key. Carpets so dirty out socks were black from one evening at the hotel. May have been a pet room. We did not come with pets. Smelled each day we cane back so i had to get frebreeze at the local target. First day for breakfast...the waffle mix literally splashed out into pour cup it was so watered down. You could tell many had come thru. The area was a mess. But yet you would think the next people coming thu someone would be stocking or clean up. Talked to management about the security issue tho and they offered 25 percent off a room on our next visit. Even after we said we were moving to another hotel for our last night in the area. No comp of the night. We will not be back. Positive. .water pressure in shower ..easy location. Thats it!

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and especially the room. Staff was extra friendly and eager to help whenever needed.
