Quality Inn Cedar City - University Area

Clean older hotel that is mostly renovated. My room was missing the base boards on the wall and the faucet dropped, but otherwise it was comfortable, quiet, and surrounded by food places including 24 hour tacos. Prices are perfect and for a couple days stay I would stay there again no problem.

Room was very clean. It’s an old motel but perfect. Had microwave and frig. Great location and kind owner. Good breakfast too!😊

Room was run down and dirty. The bed felt like it was 40 years old and the sheets looked it.

Check in time was 3:00 p.m. We didn't check in until well past 5:00 p.m., but the cleaning crew was still in our room and just barely leaving as we came in. The room itself was clean but the bathroom and shower had hair on the toilet and in the shower. The toilet itself barely flushed. It took two to three flushes to get a simple bit of tissue down. I hate to think what it would be like in more...dire circumstances. The water was hot and the water pressure was fine, but stopper in the tub was broken so that water didn't drain. I had to force it open with a bar of soap so that the water didn't just pool around my feet as I showered. Finally, we tried to watch the TV but it would turn on. We opened the remote thinking the batteries might be dead only to discover there were no batteries. At least the guy at the front desk had the manners to act embarrassed about it. If it was a cheap hotel that's probably what I would expect, but IMO this wasn't a $60 a night cardboard box hotel. Quality Inn is a national chain and I expected better.

Free breakfast was awful, people who work there were wonderful

Access to pool was scary, hot tub broken, carpet scary dirty, 1/2 roll of t.p. Which means it was in the room while others used it. One washcloth but they were happy to give me one when asked. Shower was horrible (exhaust fan roared and was difficult to shut off water. Breakfast was not good..rubbery potatoes and eggs.

Great service and personnel.

Upon entering the room noted lack of baseboards that were previously taken off. Behind the front door there was wall damage that was repaired with packaging tape. In the bathroom, the tub has black stains(?) In it, looked unclean. The bathroom door at the bottom is coming apart, from humidity when bathing. The absolute worst was the black stain on the washcloth which I hadn't noticed until too late n had used it to wash my face. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall. It had been held in place with, again, packaging tape which was still attached. The bed was old and way springy. Thankful it was just one night.

Staff and breakfast very good

The room was clean and spacious for an overnight stop it met our needs and we and our dogs felt comfortable

Reception was very helpful to find us ground floor rooms and I am sure they will be fine once they are finished. The pool area could do with some TLC. Breakfast was free with a good selection to choose from.

Poorly maintained

Property suffers from lax and poor maintenance.leaky faucets in bathroom, poorly draining sinks, pool area needs complete cleaning of the pool deck. The price was low but the hotel was still a poor value.

If you want enjoy a quiet sleep time, this is not for you! The towels were either dirty or stained. The corner of the bathroom floors had thick amounts of uncleaned gunk of some sort. The tub looked dirty too - first time we don’t shower in a hotel. The breakfast wasn’t great- eggs were cold and sausage was kind of stale. The front desk man was absolutely friendly though. I give him 5 stars he was great!! If none of this bothers you then you’ll be fine.

There was nobody at the desk when we arrived at 11 pm. I called the handwritten phone number left. No answer. I googled a phone number and got a reservation line, googled again and tried a different local number that rang to the desk I was standing at. I could have answered it myself since there was Noone else to do it. Called the first number again and was told by the guy that answered that he was in the bathroom and would be here soon :-/ The door to our room was ajar when we got there. The linens were clean, the floors and bathroom fixtures were not. There was a dried up contact lens on the floor. The sink fixture had toothpaste splattered on it and the bathroom fixtures had soap scum. I would leave pictures, however the app will not allow me to do so. The bed was comfortable enough. We were tired and needed sleep. Also, the shower was hot. When I shared the concerns with the person at checkout they seemed receptive, but we will not stay here again.

We liked that the room was at the very end of the row. There was an odd dresser just sitting outside our room. It was spacious, but the bathroom was very awkward shaped.

Clean, mostly renovated, polite helpful staff ,full breakfast, comfortable bed

We have stayed here before, the property is nice.
