I’ll start with the good. The room, bathroom, and linen were clean. The breakfast was suitable. Choices were toast, waffles, 2 types of cereal, oatmeal packages, yogurt, fruit, 2 juices, tea and coffee. Check in/out was easy and painless. We encountered 2 friendly and helpful staff, the rest not so much. It is centrally located to many things. Tons of parking. The not good. Hot tub is closed permanently. Didn’t even have water. The pool was closed and there was no notification that it was closed until we saw the sign. Nothing posted on their website or on orbitz. Don’t claim to have an indoor pool if it isn’t available for use. I looked back through reviews and it seems to have been closed for some time now. There is no where to sit in the room or lobby to eat. We traveled with 2 adults and 2 children in one room. They closed the breakfast area after breakfast and lock the doors. We had to beg to allow us in to eat so we wouldn’t have to eat in our room on the beds. The first person refused. Luckily a nice front desk worker came on shift as our food got there and allowed us to eat there. The heater stopped working our last morning there and we woke up to a freezing room. Since it was our last hours there we didn’t bother asking to swap rooms. Instead we checked out and left early. They refused to give us a copy of our deposit receipt that they make you put down and sign for. The room/hotel is not worth the little money you save booking there.

I always stay here because it is exactly what I need. It is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff is very polite and helpful and for the last 10 years I have never had a problem.

Always a good place to stay while in this area. They have vending machines with soda and snack for $1.50. Hot breakfast was good.

The room was small, but it was clean and quiet and a great price.

I've stayed here several times in the last year. Could probably use some updates but for the price it's clean and I get a nice hot shower. Had a little problem with the television on this stay. Great location to St louis, shopping and dining.

This was a great place to stay for a quick overnight stay.

Carpet was filthy. $150 deposit ouch! Housekeeping banging on door when i wanted "Do not disturb" i work night shift. No wake-up like i asked. Disappointed in the stay.

My experience was not good. The room was full of bad smell. They even did not spray air freshener in the room. Carpet was bad. Smoke/weed smell in the corridor.

It is an old hotel without any updating. Chose it because it was more expensive than the others around, but that seems to be a smart marketing move. As the title says, once a smoking room, always a smoking room. You can’t undo that. Also, big pain because there was only 1 weird lamp plug. Thanks

Good but not very good

I have stayed at this Quality Inn several times in the past year and usually stay 2 to 3 nights. I consider it clean, affordable and a convenient location. It is not a luxury stay but I'm looking for clean and easy. The bed is firm and the shower is hot. Some of the rooms could use an update, the bathrooms are very tight. The breakfast is okay but there are plenty of places to eat within 5 minutes. St. Louis is less than 15 minutes and you can access downtown north or south sides of the city. I'd also like to see the hot tub fixed.

The staff at the hotel was very unhelpful, upon check in I noted that the remote to the TV would not work, I was told to try a different one, when I reported that did not address the issue, there was no further attempt to resolve the problem. I could not even change channels on the tv manually. Part of the reson for choosing the choice line of hotels is my experience in the past was exemplary, however even the breakfast options were misleading, as the descriptoin on the hotels.com site showed breakfast, when in fact all that was offered is heavy carbohydrates (breads, muffins, etc. and juices). will not stay there again. even the gym and pool areas were closed an unavailable. Rooms have excessively poor lighting.
