Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach / Oceanfront

My group had an amazing time staying at this property! The view was absolutely beautiful, everything was very clean, and the staff was amazing! You will always be greeted when walking by the front desk and other staff will check on you to make sure you have everything you need. Zoe’s beachside grill had amazing food and drinks. I would’ve ate there every single day if it were up to me. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to that area. Highly recommend!!!!!

Hotel lobby is very nice but the room was dated and layout was very strange/awkward. Getting off the elevator was a shock as the outdoor walkways are very poorly maintained. Ok hotel but not worth the C$400 per night cost. I typically like residence inn hotels, but this one was a let down. I’ll not likely return as there are many new luxury hotels popping up in the area in the next few years.

This was our second time here ! Excellent location, fresh free breakfast every morning, excellent staff ! Very friendly!!! We’ll be back ❤️

Property is run down! Needs a Reno. Not every room had basic items like blankets pillows and garbage cans. Location and beach was great. Hotel breakfast was mediocre and facility fees and valet parking was outrageous. Will not be back as was extremely expensive for a run down hotel.

Great location. Walking distance to the beach. Great restaurant (Zoe) wonderful staff! David the parking attendant was awesome-super friendly.

Need 2 elevators More explanation on costs. Need faster parking setup. WiFi vallet didn’t work.

Amazing!!

I was traveling alone for 9 nights. I felt very safe and the staff were all.so kind, frendly and wanting to please. I felt like i was at a relatoves place.

The outdoor patio and pool is beautiful, but there is a very small space on the beach. It is not level and sitting on the chaise lounge was extremely uncomfortable. Also the beach chairs and cabanas are in poor condition. The do not clean them, even the side table that comes with the cabana was covered in sand. And you have to pay an exorbitant amount of money per day to use the beach furniture at the ocean. There are a lot of extra charges so beware. Also breakfast is not good.

Overall, it was a decent stay. I would not choose to stay here again. Pros & cons about rooms & property: Pros: Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, blackout curtains are super effective. Kitchenette is handy, although ours was only equipped with pots. Another room had a skillet, so we borrowed. Dishwasher was bonus. Laundry is available in room - must bring your own detergent. Breakfast offered variety - was particularly impressed with veggie sausage & oatmilk. Pool area is attractive. Patio games nice to have available. Plenty of room to hang out on beach, which is only steps away from hotel. Fitness center is open 24/7 - several cardio & upper body weight machines, dumbbells, bands, mats. Some staff were very pleasant, some not. Bicycles (NOT ebikes) accessible on site for 2hr outings.  Cons: Destination fee is $35 per room PER DAY! (Expedia listing stated "per stay", which is a considerable difference.) Pool & hot tub are locked at dusk, which this time of year is by 6pm! Extra charge to use lounge chairs on beach. Only one elevator worked all week. When guest asked about the frequent, long stops on different floors, staff noted housekeeping was using & holding the (only functional) elevator. Guest asked about a freight elevator and was invited to take the stairs. Stairs are only accessible from outside of building. A/C in room is really loud. Balcony tiny (maybe 3x5ft) - hardly room for 2 little chairs & table. Kitchen items are inconsistent between rooms. No oven.

We loved being close enough for a 20 minute walk to the center of town. Pier and shops were excellent. Great local coffee shops. We are one night at Oceanic, would give that a 3.5-4. We had dinner at Baresco, Mexican, 5 out of 5. The live music across the street was fun to listen. Only one elevator was working, we were on 4 so never took elevator down just did stairs but it could have been a lot more frustrating. Good breakfast items. Staff was very helpful and friendly and nice. We prefer self park but we walked most every day. Parking is scarce all through town. Kilwins ice cream was 5 for 5! Great family area, or for couples or retirees. Will visit area again.

“I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. While the rooms were spacious, the pillows had a bad smell, which made it uncomfortable. Thankfully, there was a washing machine available to clean clothes. The power went out several times during my stay, and the elevator was broken—which was extremely inconvenient since my room was on the 6th floor. The food and other amenities on-site were unappealing, so I didn’t use them. To top it off, the front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. I will never stay here again.”

Liked the property. Didn't like the add-ons, especially the daily parking fee. Wouldn't stay here again because of these extra fees.

This is our second time staying and it was again, amazing! Daniela at the front desk remembered us from our first stay two years ago! She was super sweet and kindly offered us a room upgrade. Excellent experience! Would definitely recommend.

Excelente experiencia. Habitación muy grande y cómoda con todos los servicios indicados. Tuvimos problemas para ingresar por un defecto en la puerta que solucionaron en el instante. Lo mejor el Restaurant frente a la playa. Hermoso para cenar. No me gustó que cobren por el servicio de reposeras y sombrillas en la playa.

Walls were too thin, could hear the kids next door all night. Trash truck wake us up each morning at 6, even on Sunday morning.

I was charded doubled by the hotel for the stay. I asked why they said its just temporary and all the charges will be released when i check out. But charge eventually was posted and went towards my monthly statement. Wjeb i showed my bank statement i dudnt receive any explanation...Also they charged me 705$ in addition to 803$.....i dont understand what happed abd everyone just kept saying it will be released iys just temporary....why charge people in advqnce for services i didnt ask for. It sound like a scam for me and i didn't enjoy the stay because i didnt know what to expect and how much extra i will be charged. I will not recommend this hotel and will never come back
